I have now found information that tells me there is a resistor on the radios main circuit board that is not soldered correctly and this is part of the CD hand shake circuit and this is why the CD changer does not work so I now have to solder this surface mounted resistor on the side that has no solder and this should fix the radio and CD changer. SOURCE: Can you add a cd changer to a 2005 Jaguar Stype

Yes. You will need a proper Jaguar changer with the correct fibre optic leads (d2b) then It will need to be programmed to the vehicle wich can only be done by Jaguar. You may also need the correct carpet for the n/s of the boot

How to work 12 disk changer in 2001 corvette with a bose radio

Hello my name is Ben. I have had 2 of these cars and they both worked the same. Once you load the cartridge with your CDs and insert the cartridge into changer and close that little door on the changer the rest is automatic. On the dash you will see two buttons to the left of the radio display. One says TAPE AUX. That is the button that switches from radio to the CD changer. Push the TAPE AUX button and the CD changer will play whichever CD is selected. The PREV button if pressed during the first 8 seconds of a song will go to the previous song, if PREV is pressed after 8 seconds it will go to the beginning of the song. The PROG button will go to the next CD. The NEXT button will go to the next song on the CD you are playing. The REV and FWD allow you to quickly move within a song, either forward or backward. If you have any other questions, just ask, I have the owners manual readily available. I know it should be in the car, LOL

THEY ARE NORMALLY SITUATED IN THE BOOT AREA, MAYBE BEHIND A PANEL IN THE BOOT OR MAYBE BOLTED TO THE ROOF OF THE BOOT.

Cd multi changer

My experience with the x type is that everything that is added must be introduced to the ecu/car before it will operate. If the same is to apply for the multichanger it would have to be carried out by somebody who has the correct equipment.

Getting E-1 error message for radio

Well I had a 1990 Xj6 with an aftermarket cd-changer in the trunk and it didn't work, so when I took it to an audio specialist he said that it needed to be replaced. But what he did say is that most manufactures use the same connection cables for their products, ex. Sony plugs will work on all Sony cd-changers. I now have a 1994 Jaguar XJ6 and I have the same error code. I know that Jaguar installed Alpine CHM-S620 cd-changers. So in theroy you could go to an audio store and get the same cd-changer and it should have the same plugs so you wont need to rewire anything. I havent done it yet because I just bought the 1994.
