Question about 1998 Jaguar XK8
BATTERY IS NEW.WHEN I CHARGED BATTERY WITH SLOW CHARGER CAR STARTS UP. WAITED 2 DAYS DEAD AGAIN BUT AS I HOOKED THE CHARGER UP AGAIN I HEARD A CLICKING FROM UP FRONT AND THE LIGHTS WERE BRIGHT AGAIN LIKE THERE WAS NO PROBLEM AT ALL . IS THERE A POSSIBLE RELAY THAT IS DEFECTIVE BLOCKING THE BATTERY?
When the bat is fully charged , open the bonnet and remove one of the bat. post connections. With the key off (like it is when it sits and dies) and the doors and etc. closed , fan off , radio off.... place the cable you took off on the bat post . if there is a spark or anything... report back.
Also , listen for anything under the bonnet when you do this...
