You can bypass the egr by plugging the vacuum line that would run to it. If you live in an area that has no emission controls this is fine, but the vehicle will not pass an e-test without the egr connected and working. you may also be able to swap the manifolds to make it work.

I need to know if I can delete my egr, and if so, how?

Don't watch the video it is only a flash of light.
I have no egr system on my car the worst thing that has happened so far is an engine light but if your truck is a 96 or newer you can get a tuner and set the comp. to not check for the egr now be forewarned it is not legal to do this but who gives a care... And by the way the egr is always hooked up to the exhaust manifold that is why it is called exhaust gas recirc.
But this can help give your engine colder air for a more dense fuel mixture another thing is that you may find that your truck takes longer to warm up in the winter weather.
Hope it helped!

Would it not been easier to spend the money, to have a repair shop
take care of your issues, all of them?

Do you have years of automotive experience?

It will be more expensive as you spend time,
worry ,stress and parts to no avail

Need buick century egr diagram

If your car runs bad with an EGR code then I would suggest that the EGR valve be replaced. I would like to know what code was set on your computer. It would help greatly. When the EGR malfunctions, you will have rough idle and possible stalling. If you have a code indicating EGR it may also condem the cat converter. Please show any codes that are set. Thanks Moe

2000 Honda Accord EGR Valve Error P0401

Jason,
-after you change the part you have to reset/clear the code

-this can be done by either:
(1) using the OBD2 code reader that Autozone used OR since option 2 (below) is very quick
(2) disconnecting the battery for about 30 seconds (this will delete all codes/radio presets/etc) but it will also clear the 'check engine' code
-this is what I do AFTER i write down my radio station presets :)

-hopefully the new EGR valve resolves your issue after you CLEAR the code
...but that code just means a an insufficient amount of Exhaust Gas recirculation (pressure difference) used to keep the emissions in check
-if it comes back, then there are a few other fixes to try also

-let me know if you need further assistance
-please remember to rate me `fix-ya`if it works
thanks
