SOURCE: 2005 chevy impala rear driver power window stopped going up.stuck

If neither switch works it is a bad connection at the motor or bad ground or a bad motor. Remove the door panel unplug the motor push the switch and see if there is 12volts on the wires if there is the motor is bad There are small brushes in the motor that go bad tap on the motor while pushing the switch if it works that way replace it

Try to replace the window regulator. Sounds like worn out guide wheels.

SOURCE: 2006 Chevy Impala power windows won't work

It does sound like you have a short in the master switch on the drivers side. If the passengers switch does not work, check the left master switch and the window lock switch.

Passenger window wont roll down with either switch but motor is good and getting power

New switch for the passenger side. The drivers side switch may be wired through the passengers side switch witch will make it not work if the passengers side switch is bad. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

2005 chevy impala problems

If you are referring to the failure of the auto function then try a system reset. (this fault often happens on some models after disconnecting the vehicle's battery and reconnecting.
Hold down the driver's window switch until the window reaches bottom position. Keep the switch held down for several seconds, then release. Lift up the switch until the window reaches the top position and hold for several seconds then release. Try operation of auto function again. Repeat steps in the opposite order if not successful.

All of my Windows quit at once . They won't roll down from any switch it just makes a clicking noise in the driver switch.

The driver switch is the master switch - all the other switches go through it. You probably have a faulty master switch causing the problem.

Driver side window on my 06 impala makes a loud screeching noise when rolling down, usually when it's hot outside, but not when its raining or the window is wet

It depends where the noise is coming from. If it is from the run channel that the window goes up and down in, try spraying silicone spray lubricant in the run channel and see if the noise goes away. If the noise is behind the door pannel. you may need to remove the pannel and check the window regulator assembly. With the pannel off you should be able to locate the noise.
