I have checked the fuel pressure and the pump is good! All trouble shooting i have done is leading to leaking injectors. I pulled all 4 spark plugs and there is no fuel in hole.Turned engine over and injectors not spraying.Have done all pressure checks and have no diagnostic codes coming up when I hook up my code reader. Could a faulty pressure regulator cause any injector issues? My unit is a 97 cavalier with a 2.2L.

i smell gas 1995 cavalier do the injectors go bad or just the rubbers

96 Chevrolet Caviler and there injectors all share this problem, the injectors will develop tiny cracks in the plastic and leak gas down the motor. There has been many owners lost there cars and some there lives due to the intense heat from the fires when they catch fire. These cars can just burst into flames with no aparent reason from this and other fueling problems.

Change the fuel pump and still won't start on a 2002 chevy avalanche

Check for spark to the spark plugs, while cranking the engine. If no spark, you could have a bad ignition module, or a bad crankshaft position sensor. The crank sensor sends a signal to the computer, to start the fuel pump and signals the ignition module to start firing the spark plugs. It also drives the tachometer through the computer (PCM) Powertrain control module. The ignition module can be removed and taken to a parts store to have it tested. The crank position sensor is not as easy to test. Easier to just replace it. Good Luck. But wait, I have seen people replace the fuel pump, checked the fuel pump harness for power, and all was good. However, if the fuel pump does not have a GROUND, it will still not operate. Might want to check that. Have fun.

Truck runs for two seconds an shut down i changed fuel pump an filter and it still shuts down but it only stay running when i put gas down in the throttle body i had a 1996 chevy 1500 i was wondering can...

No, the fuel regulator from a 96 will not fit a 98. The 98 is a vortec and i believe the 96 is TBI. You are on the right track though, but the fuel regulator is attached to the fuel injector spider and is one unit inside the upper intake. It is relative easy to replace just takes some time.

96 Chevy Silveraldo, 5.7 Vortec v8. Idles fine,

raeally sound s as if you fuel pump pickup is clogged. this is exactly what was wrong with a 1997 tahoe. no engine codes. slow acceleratoion fine all the way to freeway speeds 70mph. but if you go full throttle truck would buck and backfire through throttle body. it is a lot of work but you must drop the tank, inspect your lines into the tank, pull the pump replace the filer and if if filter is torn make sure pump is not also clogged. good luck

96 blazer will start and only idle once on gas it

Could be several things but here are the known culprits:

  1. Clogged or worn Fuel Filter
  2. Clogged fuel line or injector(s) or throttle body.
  3. Worn or dying fuel pump.
  4. IAC valve may be bad and needs to be replaced.

Cannot get 1987 chevy van 20 to keep running... stalls out

Best do a fuel pressure test. Should have chg. fuel filter from the get go. The only other filter is on the end of the fuel pump in tank. Bad gas and dirty gas will plug up fuel filter, hense burn pump up.
