Where is the AC/Heater Control Actuator located?

Hi Joymar, The EATC module is mounted to the heater box under the dash, below the radio,to the right of HVAC controls. access through glove box opening.[remove glove box] look for module with wire & vacuum connections.if you see a linkage arm or rod, those are actuators, follow vacuum lines to control module.an actuator won't cause the fan to run, they control air flow.Automatic temp system modules are known to fail. How do I replace dash light bulbs on a 2007 Ford Escape?

What lights are not working ? The instrument cluster illumination is inoperative or all the lights ,radio , heater control head, all the switches that would be back lighted.
  • The climate control panel illumination is inoperative , The passenger door lock control switch illumination is inoperative. Could need new dimmer switch , new instrument cluster. When installing a new instrument cluster, it is necessary to upload the module configuration to the scan tool. Following installation of the new instrument cluster, download the module configuration from the scan tool into the new instrument cluster. Refer to Section 418-01 .

Heater control switch does not add heat; only ambient air

I think it is the actuator/solenoid that is in the middle of the dash at the very bottom of the hvac case (against floorboard). You may have to remove the long plastic cover held in by 7mm screws. The actuator is held in with 5.5mm screws I think. You can remove this and turn it by hand and see if it changes anything.

Where is the thermastat located on a 89 ford tempo ?

After the car has been driven until warm, say 10 minutes, leave it
running and feel the hoses going thru the firewall to the heater,
there are 2 ,if they are both cold it needs a thermostat.
If one is hot and one is alot colder , it's the heater core.
If they are both hot it's a door on the inside.
Thermostat on the 2.3 (assuming) is at the engine end of the top
radiator hose, front of the head. Easy one
