Changed master cilnder now breaks are grabing and locking up its not the hoes

When it happens I bleed breaks then it unlocks

My rear back breaks won't bleed.We have replaced master cylinder,break cylinder,front&back breaks,resivor.We have the front breaks that bleed every time.My pedal goes to the floor.Any ideas?


Jennifer, some brake systems have special procedures to bleed brake systems, some systems have to be plugged into a special scan tool which will cycle different solenoids to allow proper bleeding. You may have to get a good technician with proper equipment to bleed the brakes.

Most likely cause is air in the break lines. This can happen if the break lines are not bled during the break job. If you did bleed the lines during the job you may be low on break fluid. If the fluid level is OK then you should bleed the breaks again, making sure the fluid level stays high.

Replace the caliper and brake hose at that location and that should handle your problem. Don't forget to bleed the brakes.

Brake and e brake warning lights stay on happen when i blew a brake line.


If brakes are mushy then you still have air in the lines.Did you bleed all 4 wheels?have wife push brake pedal down once and hold then bleed hold down one and bleed and so on if this has a quick takeup master cylinder pumping 3 or 4 times then bleed wont work

How to replace the clutch master cynlinder


Unless you are familiar with bleeding the break system I would not recommend this task. Sometimes it can be very difficult to get all the air out of the system especially if you do not bench bleed the Master. But If you'd like to try you have to break loose the brake lines that connect to the master and remove them. Then you have to remove the two nuts holding it to the brake booster which is usually black and round. When you remove it make sure you have taken out the old seal and you put back the new one. Now before you install the master you should fill it with fluid and push the shaft until fluid comes out the brake line holes. Once this has happened put something to plug it from leaking and install it on the car WITH NEW GASKET. Now install everything in the opposite order and bleed the brakes when your through... bleeding the master just helps you get less air in the system so its easier to do the initial bleed. SO EVEN THOUGH YOU BLEED THE MASTER YOU STILL NEED TO BLEED THE BRAKES FROM EACH WHEEL.

Trouble Bleeding Break Line


you need to hold in the metering valve.when you bleed the front brakes.long as the valve closed off you wont be able to bleed front brakes.better to get extra help.hard to bleed by your self .

Cant get any breaks after changing break lines


You need to bleed them...bleed master cyl first,(if it has bleed screws use them if not use line fittings) then rr, lr, rf, then lf. Maker sure that all fittings are not leaking and that while bleeding, master does not run dry. Use light pressure on master, don't "mash" it down. You may need to bleed twice to get all air out.

Changed break line but still have no pressure in breaks


to do a complete job. you need to bleed all 4 wheels, starting from Right Rear. Right front. Left Rear. Left Front.

either the booster is bad or your proportioning valve is bad switch these out and repeat the bleeding proccess this should solve the problem
