SOURCE: iac and throttle body
Cleaning the throttle body is no big problem; simply remove the air filter box, and remove the tube from the air filter box that connects to the throttle body. Spray carb cleaner on the flap valve and all around the flap valve. Regarding you idle condition, cleaning the Idle Air Control valve (IAC) may do you no good. Once it fails, it is usually done. You prob need to install a replacement IAC. It is UNDER the throttle chamber, you will see it when you remove the air tube to the throttle body. I change several of these a month. Common failure.

check your ignition coil for cracks. i had the same problem. when the coil heats up it expands thus causig a break in the windings. it cost me $300 to find this out.

sounds like you have a major carb problem i would rebuild it or buy one from the parts store already rebuilt ..dont forget a new fuel filter!.....also check your fuel pump for pressure and volume.

sounds like fuel starvation.
if its an electric pump listen to see if it spins when ignition on.
i know this may sound stupid but check there is fuel in tank, it could be a fuel sender failure which shows fuel when empty
