Question about 1998 Chevrolet Malibu
Hi all i was searching the web and stumbled upon here. My problem is with the passenger side wiper. I was driving down the rd. oneday and it was pouring. All of a sudden, "clank, ca, clank" my right windshield wiper completely stopped. The left one was still working fine. I pulled over and my finace, had to end up breaking the arm off, causing what damage I dunno??? All i know is i have to fix this problem soon! It sux trying to drive in the rain with just rainex on your windows. =( someone please give me some advice and what could have caused this and what i may need to replace it.
The wiper system has a series of linkages, they are located at the
bottom of the windshield (under the plastic at the bottom of the
windshield) there are pivots that connect the pieces together and one
of them has likely worn out and disconnected itself from the
system.....if you are handy it isn't a big job.......just remove the
plastic cover at the bottom of the windshield(usually held in place by
several screws and sometimes a few clips) and locate the failed part
them replace it .Good Luck!
hope this helps! thanks for choosing FIX YA!
