Did you experience any symptoms prior, such as rough, hard shifting, or engine revving but speed not increasing, slow to go into gear?

I believe skotkirkpat may be correct. Each drive axle has a cv joint. If one or both have frozen up you will not move. the cv joint rides on bearings. I had an 89 that the cv went out along with the bearings. I rplaced it myself. but I have been working on cars for a while (auto body tech) Was your van making clicking noises while turning before it locked up. Or while driving felt like it was hydroplaneing every now and again? Mine did the latter just before the cv joint let go. Hope this helps, sorry if it does not.

Sounds like your front bearing are locked up.  This happened to me once in a van that had been sitting awhile.

What happened? My Car will not drive forward or reverse, front wheels are now locked, can't even push it.

This is a transmission related issue. If the vehicle starts but will not go in any gear you have an intrernal tranny problem. Will it move at all in neutral? Check and see if the trans fluid is at the proper level. I believe these transmissions are just drain and fill ( no filter change ) during fluid service. If the fluid level is correct and a good color, the internal differential may have come apart causing the lock up situation. If the fluid level is low ( suspect a leak especially after a service ) and low fluid will cause a no shift/drive issue

I bought a 1992 civic it had 2 different size tires in the front. There is a loud humming noise from the tranny it is a stick. Is this what caused it and how do i fix it?

Running 2 tire sizes on the front could/would damage the transmissions differential, depends on how long it was driven like that. It would require a trip to a tranny shop to fix it. But usually a loud humming noise comes from front wheel bearings going bad. On that car, the wheel bearing is pressed into the Hub, so if it is a bad bearing, it is still a trip to a shop for repair. Sorry I dont have any good news for you.

I have a 1997 Blazer in need of a new 4 wheel drive transmission. What year Blazer, Jimmy, GMC, S10, have compatiable transmissions for my vehicle?

All of the ones listed and 98 will work too. The transfer case comes off the end of the tranny and the tailshft housing comes off the two wheel drive tranny and the transfer case bolts right on, So all the two wheel drive trannys will work too. 97 and 98. Others will work too but you can't just plug them righ in as some of the sensers and switches are different. The junkyard that your dealing with if their any good will tell more that'll work than this and the changes that'll make even more trannys fit.

1993 Dodge Grand Caravan Transmission issue

A broken engine or tranny mount should not cause a front wheel to wobble. If this is happening with a grinding noise I'd expect more of a failing bearing or such. The grinding noise may also be a rotor of the brakes with poor pads. Yes, if a axel, or CV joint, is failing this can make noise too, often times a "clicking" type of noise. Best get the front of the van up on jack stands, remove the tires and inspect all of the front-end components; pay special attention CV joints, rotors and front axel area, loose movement in the axels?
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

2001 Dodge Caravan Transmission Question.

IF your van is front wheel drive only, the transmission is indeed a 3 speed A413. If your van is all wheel drive, your transmission is a 4 speed A604. Capacity is 4 quarts or so.

Yes, always lock your steering wheel in the correct position for travel. you will also need to switch your tranny to the neutral position as well. make sure you activate your hazard lights. have a good one:)

Hello, 1986 Toyota 4X4 Truck 22R carb engine manual transmission. My son was driving it and the rear wheels locked up. Driving in 2 High mode. He got the truck pulled over to the side of the road using 4X4...

I've seen a similar issue on other transmissions where the shifter slips out of the slots in the shift forks, either due to shifter bushing wear or just general wear on tte trans. It can usually be remedied at least temporarily by popping the shifter top off the trans and resetting the forks all back to nuetral and then reinserting the shifter. It gets jammed when two forks are trying to engage two different gear sets.
On one of the 4x4 sites, they tell you how to replace the shifter bushings, cheap fix if you are lucky.
Good luck.
