1997 Town & Country outside temperature display shows OC.
The outside temperature display shows OC all the time. It is supposed to show OC only when it gets colder than than -40F. How can I reset it? I tried disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes as the dealer suggested, but no change.

that is actually OC meaning there is an open circuit in the system some where, with out a signal generator at home to test the system, you are on a guessing mission, i would try a outside/ambient air temp sensor first, cheapest and easy to do it on the in front behind the grille on the pass side of the radiator , if this is not it it could be a wiring issue or it needs a new mirror which you have to calibrate the compass in after replacement
I can tell you where to download a service manual for the Chrysler Voyager of that vintage. I believe the Town and Country would be similar. Wait till the time display expires and then save file to your hard drive.
It is a 50mb file.
Hope this helps solve your problem. Must be a solenoid somewhere that is shorting or stuck and draws current.
The temperature display on the rear view mirror my 2002 Trailblazer LT is either way incorrect - like obviously too high or too low - but mostly just shows "OC" all the time. Is this an expensive fix? Is this an easy fix that I could do myself? What do I need to replace and how
Have you used the handy search feature? You would find that this is likely caused by one of 2 things. First, the ambient air temperature sensor may have gone bad. Secondly, wiring from the sensor to the mirror may have gone bad. Either way, you would get OC (which stands for OPEN CIRCUIT).

when its at -40 usually its because the ambient temp sensor is not sending the proper signal to the controller.. it may just be disconnected.. the sensor it behind the grille.. it has a 2 wire connector to it ... itf its connected it may havea broken wire from body damage in an accident... its rare that the sensor fails..
