SOURCE: The heater is blowing cold but the engine temperature reads high

Hi
I would first check to see if both heater hoses are hot to the heater.
if 1 is hot and 1 is cold the heater control valve is closed or the heater core is plugged.

SOURCE: Dodge Ram 1500...heater is blowing cold air, even

Take a flashlight and look up under dash from center console area, across to passenger side, for wiring harness, and/or hoses(small rubber) , they should lead you to it. Haven't had my head under one of those recently, and having a problem tracking you down a diagram for some reason, but it has to be there.

SOURCE: 2006 Dodge ram-a/c-heater fan works fine,all

Does your blower have a vibration at higher speeds? Have the same problem in my truck. After digging into it I found that the Re-circulation door axle pivot is broken. This door shuts off the outside air intake for re-circulating air. It also closes off the interior air intake when re-circ isn't used. If the door is broken it will sit in a half open position allowing all the forced air to escape through the outside air intake. I hear this is a common thing to happen. The servo motor that cycles the door is a little too powerful and it snaps the axle pivot.

SOURCE: 2002 dodge 1500 Changed radiator, thermostat, and hoses. No heat

Why was radiator replaced?Did it have heat before ? If it was plugged, the heater core may also be plugged. Try flushing it with a water hose in both directions. I dont know why the botton radiator hose would be cold, the radiator should be a uniform temp and the air coming through the radiator should be HOT, when the engine is at operating temp. What condition was the old coolant? if it was rusty, the water pump may have lower flow than normal.

SOURCE: 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 - The heater blows cold air

the heater blowing cold at an Idle and warm while driving it,is usually low coolant in the radiator, remove the radiator cap when engine is cold, fill to the top,and fill overflow tank to full,if that doesn't take care of it,check the heater hoses at an idle and see if they are both the same temp,it might be a water pump not doing its job.

Heater not blowing hot air

When the fan motor is loud it means its out of balance. Kind of like a dishwasher.

Could a business card or two have slipped through the defrost vents ? or maybe leaves have accumulated in the fans squirrel cage.

A heater motor isn't hard to remove. Usually above your feet on the passenger side held in with 3 or 4 screws and one heavy wire.

Dodge Ram 1500, air would only work on high (fan), then quit working totally. Replaced blower resistor and still won't work.

You sometimes have to put something between the cage and the motor and tap on the shaft. Often times the cage breaks apart.
Soaking the shaft with WD40 or other product may help break it loose.

well if truck running hot change thermostat

if it is doent seam to run hot go to salvage yard and remove sensor and place in pocket one home put replacemnt sensor in truck and reset computer it might be a computer samety feature but likely the heat sensor problem is tied to your heat
