SOURCE: Water Pump Drive Belt

there is no water pump drive belt...there's a "Serpentine" belt that powers ALL the accessories and cooling...If you've never done this before, take it to a mechanic (NOT THE DEALER) and have it done ($75)
Good Luck

SOURCE: How do you replace the EGR on a 2002 ford escape?

To replace the the spark plugs on the V6, you'll need to remove the intake manifold. There is a coil on top of each plug (COP). Check this website for info:

The same link will also show the R&R of the EGR valve.

this is where the Pro's come in.. will need a Puller.. with it in the engine housing.. which is nearly impossible.. most of the time you have to take the entire engine out to do this.. So for less Headace's and screaming! Have a Pro do it..

There are two belts on Ford Escape 3.0 V6. The serpentine belt is the drive-line belt and the other belt in question is the water pump belt. You should be able to find this at any auto parts store or on eBay.

2004 ford escape engine emission light on lunges while idleing

I have found this to be a common problem on 2001-2006 V6 Ford Escapes. In 99% of these cases the problem is the Catalytic Converter. The V6 has three in-total, one per exhaust manifold, and one after the Y connection. This third catalytic converter is the one that always gets clogged. Another clue to it's failure is a loss of power and a increase in fuel consumption. The later 2006-2008 have a redesigned exhaust system. Hope that helps.
