Locate subaru 94 GC3 engine sensors

Needin to Identify and locate all of my engine sensors , I have a 94 Subaru impreza GC3 motor is a 1.6 Ltr . The engine will start and run until until it reaches tempature the fans cut in and bring it back to standard centre range of the gauge . after switching it of the engine will NOT retars for around 20 minutes untill the engine has cooled , the problem whit it then is when it's re-started after cooling the fans will NOT kick in again for the rest of the day . I enjoy every part of it's motoring except this MAJOR problem , i also have found it impossible to buy or find replacement parts let along the parts # id codes without pulling the car apart . It's my only means of transport as being on a Disability Pension is tough enough at the best of times .

SOURCE: Bought 2001 Lumina.. head gasket

I had a similar problem. Is your temperature gauge pegged to the right as very hot? Or reads always cold, even when hot. If it is a 3100 motor their is a coolant temperature gauge sending unit under the air breather intake that is right next to where you replace the thermostat.

Get a haynes repair manual at a parts dealer, Amazon, or your public library.
On the Chevrolet Lumina, Monte Carlo, & Impala FWD 1995 to 2005 it's under section 3-8 on page 3-6. It goes into great detail, and it's too complicated to explain here. If your sensor is bad, but the wires and fuses are good then the fans won't run.

Your second fan only runs when the air compressor is turning, If your ac compressor is not running then the sensor will not have the passenger fan run.
You have to see if the fan motors are good and then the wiring is good, and no fuses blown. You might blow fuses so have extra blue ones if I remember right. Recheck fuses after testing.

Were on exaust is oxygen sensor in 1999 subaru impreza auto sport

On the SOHC engine the front (A/F) oxygen sensor is located in the front section of the front catalytic converter. The rear oxygen sensor is located in the rear section of the front catalytic converter. On the DOHC engine the front oxygen sensor is located in the front section of the exhaust system, just past the crossover pipe. The rear oxygen sensor is located in the front section of the catalytic converter.

I can't find the coolant temperature regulator on my Subaru

Hello, your coolant temp sensor is mounted on the cylinder head coolant crossover pipe. If your standing at the front of your car with the hood open, if your looking at the engine the sensor is to the left of the throttle body under the intake manifold. I think it takes the open end of a 19mm wrench to unscrew it. There are 2 sensors back there and it's the larger of the 2.

Rpms drop on acceleration on 94 subaru impreza L

If your car has coil packs it is most likly them. Some Impreza cars especially the Turbo versions have individual coils built into the lead at the plug end. If your car has these then they crack down the side . If you take them out you can see a fine crack in the plastic. You cannot fix them, they have to be replaced. Check to see if you have them, it might help.

Sounds like a sensor is breaking down under heat of engine.
Try the Crank sensor (under the alternator at front of engine with a 2 pin multiplug attached. Or the Cam sensor (more likely) placed behind the oil filler neck and looks the same as the crank sensor. Breakers should sell you these for approx £20 each.
If no joy let me know.
