My add coolant light comes on although the reservoir is full

The low coolant sensor could be stuck...this is located sometimes in the bottom of the overflow tank...(a light tap can sometimes correct) or some are located on the radiator...follow the electrical lead...as long as coolant is circulating properly...this is probably the culprit...if the sensor is on the radiator...a light tap applies too...you can disconnect periodically as this sometimes can correct...Hope this helps.

COOLANT TEMP SEN LOCATION

I don't know about this vehicle specifically, but usually coolant temp sensors are screwed into the block somewhere near where the radiator hose connects to the block. It's about the size of a .410 shotgun shell with a wire connected to the top.

92 lexus es300 knock sensor

Need to remove the upper and lower air intake manifold.  There are two knock sensors for the front and rear pistons banks.  If you plan to do this yourself it is about 1 to 2 hours.  While you are at it, there is a short coolant bypass hose sitting in the same spot, replace it.  Another problem with the knock sensor is the wire harness used to connect the two knock sensors into one connection sometimes wears out and contacts the metal on the engine causing false signals to the ECM, so replace this cable also.
Just did this last summer on my 99 ES300.  Pretty easy.
