Question about 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe
Did you disconnect the brake light switch or accidentally bumped it? Perhaps forgot to reconnect it and before you can shift out of park it needs to see a signal from the brake witch and since the signal isn't there it's not allowing you to shift.

do it again .. bleed the master cylinder maybe more than once .. I have had this happen before they are tough sometimes to get to take fluid right .. bleed it again till fluid is really flowing right .. your problem is the master cylinder not blead enough yet .. holler if you have more Jerry

You need to adjust up the rear brakes and also check back there for leaking wheel cylinders and maybe even a bad bearing in the axle assembly, worn shaft,accompanied by a leaking axle seal that will appear really nasty and smell bad too...
I have also seen this model with a crappy pedal when the brake hoses have become softened and expand under pressure
