Question about 1995 Nissan Pickup

Running Lights going off while driving

I have a 95 Nissan Pickup. Occasionally when driving with lights on, my dash lights go out. I discovered when this happens, I also loose all running lights, the headlights are the only thing that stay on. What is the most logical problem?

I have the same problem. I have heard that it is the light switch on the end of directional lever that is bad. I've noticed that turning the switch on and off a couple of times the running/dash lights come back on. The part is not in stock, it is special order. I have not replaced it yet. I will let you know if it solves the problem.

My brake lights would not shut off,I had to use hazards to get home. Then they stopped blinking and also my turn signals done the same. 95 nissan hardbody pickup 2-wheel drive

the brake light switch down below the dash on the pedal is stuck or out of alignment. The little plunger or spring lever in the switch is stuck in. Find it and spray it with W-D 4O as it may be full of lint

Running lights going out while driving

If the problem is occurring or corrected while wiggling the switch, remove the switch assembly and check for loose ,corroded or burnt harness connection. if it looks ok, problem may be within the switch itself, replace the switch assembly and recheck.

Were are the dashbord feses on a nissan 1997 pickup

IN the dash board on the drivers side under a little door the opens to put change in just to the left of the drivers steering collum this door can be removed and the fuse names are on the bnack of this little door. If the dash lights aren;t working your tail fuse might be blown as the rear running lights and the dash lights share the same circuit on purpose. If your tailights are'nt working your dash does light up to let you know.

What makes the tail light park lights and dash lights go off and come back on by them self if you leave the switch on after awhile? 95 nissan 4x4 pick-up

The switch with age can loosing contact inside. the contacts will get burnt and not have a good contact. this will cause them to heat up. and when they get hot enough they can loose all contact. thus turning off. and when it cools down they will come back on. This is more common when there has been extra lights added to the system.

The dash lights on my 1995 nissan pickup went out completely last week. before, the lights behind the HVAC controls were on or off intermittently, now i can't see the gauges when i am driving at night.

the bulbs are either blown or there is a loose wire in the back of the dash cluster if you cant find any loos wires them teh dimmer switch or head light switch may be the problem

Flickering tail light and dash lights; 1995 Nissan pickup

Like all imports wiring was marginal and prone to failure. Check and clean all ground wires. Especially the one that connects the bed to the chassis. If one is not present, install one. Also remove the taillights and clean the contacts, then add a die-electric grease to prevent additional corrosion. Go to the local autoparts store or good central library for additional information on your truck.
