SOURCE: honda accord 1992 I have a oil leak around the oil filter is it

is it an ex?
is it a bad leak?
it could be 2 things
1) oil pressure sending unit above the filter
2) "o" ring between the oil cooler and block on ex models only. the oil cooler is between the filter and block with 2 coolant hoses attached to it. also might be the oil filter. i replace alot of sending units and oil cooler o rings.

SOURCE: 1992 Honda Accord Oil Leak

Check the threads on the new sender/switch. They should be slightly tapered. Some of the less expensive replacement parts have straight threads, try a new part from the Honda dealer. The grey/white stuff is teflon type pipe sealant, this is the correct material to use on the sender threads. Clean the threads in the block very well first.

SOURCE: oil leaking on 95 honda accord ex

i would check the oil plug screw seal first before i would do the valve solenoid/pressure switch. also, if the oil plug screw seal is fine and tightly screwed in, it may just be the switch seal itself.

I have a 1996 honda accord and i was low on oil and now is full but now my oil light is flashing what dose that mean

Burnt out engine bearings or a faulty oil pressure sending unit on the engine. Have the oi pressure confirmed by a shop with a special mechanical test gauge.

Oil leaking above filter could it be oil sending unit

Could be the oil pressure switch. But ive also seen the oil filter housing leaking on thesed 2.2L accord engines. If its coming from even higher then all of that then its the valve cover gasket leaking. i Suggest cleaning off the engine first with brake cleaner to really see exactly where it is coming from

My 1995 accord ex 5spd oil light flashes but it has recommended amount of oil in it. The manual says its low oil pressure. Do i need a new oil pump? what?

Low oil pressure can be from a restriction in the filter, a weak oil pump or excess clearnance between the crankshaft, camshaft, main and rod bearings. Low oil pressure when the engine has adequate oil means the engine is in need of at least a pump. It may even need an overhaul. My question would be does it run OK not leak or smoke and have good fuel economy. The best case if everything is running fine is that the sending unit is defective.

The oil lights stays on in my 1994 honda accord ex

This is a matter that you should pay immediate attention to.
The oil light can indicate low oil level in your engine, or low oil pressure. Both can be fatal to your engine.

Check your oil level first.
Look for evidence of leaking oil (possinility a loose oil filter)
The oil pressure sending unit or connections could also be causing the problem

My oil light is on . I change the oil i change the oil pressure switch . I check the pressure with a gauge it goes to 50 when i start it the engine is very quiet but that light drive me crazy please help...

the oil pressure sending unit must be defective - it should be located close to oil filter - if another sending unit is purchased you can compare the two - most sensors only plug up one way - the light should be working thru ground - light may not come on if sending unit is unplugged as a test

JUST GOT 99 HONDA AACORD, NOTICE OIL LEAK, ON FORNT CAR PASSANGER

Wash the engine if need be to find the source of the leak.  It could be the oil fill cap, the valve cover gasket, the oil filter seal or a dozen other places.
