Kia sportage 2001 keep locked in ignition aac mode, will turn on but wont come out

Try rocking the steering wheel while turning key

wiggle steering wheel up and down sometimes the steering lock tab jams and wont permit key to turn ====if key worn down will not let ignition cylinder turn other is bad ignition cylinder

I assume that you are writing about an ignition lock. Firstly check that you've got the right key. Secondly try turning the steering wheel slightly as you turn the key. If that doesn't work it's likely that the lock is shot. Get it checked by a Kia dealer.

Try giving the stering wheel a pull or push whilst turning the key ,the lock is into the wheel and its needs releasing thats all ,ask a man to do it for you

well hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is exactly what needs to be done. try turning the key and forcefully moving steering wheel from side to side. if needed get someone to help you moving the wheel but you must be turninf the key at the same time in order to unlock. this is common and happens when you turn the wheel while key is in the off posoition or out of ignition, perhaps grabbing on steering wheel while entering or exiting vehicle. good luck.

I had the same problem,if you put your foot on the break it will turn but some times turning the key around helps to.

When this happens in my car - I turn the wheel the opposit you think you should - while turning the key and it works..
Dont force it to much & damage somthing..

battery is low on voltage as far as the locks clicking, you could also have a starter issue, try charging the battery first

try turning the steering wheel and the key at the same time its a locking ignition and sometimes if you turn the wheel while you turn the key it will unlock the column try turning the wheel both ways doing this
