How do I turn off my hazard light in a 2002 eldorado.

What is a hazard switch and where is it located?
The hazard switch allows you to turn on your hazard or emergency flasher lights. When you press the button, all four of your turn signal lights will flash simultaneously. This is a useful way to warn other drivers of potential hazards or to make your vehicle visible during a breakdown, especially at night, and is an important safety feature of any vehicle.

The hazard switch is frequently mounted on the dashboard. Sometimes it is mounted to the steering column or attached to the turn signal switch. The button is marked with one triangle inside another triangle. This part is also commonly referred to as a hazard or emergency flasher switch, hazard or emergency light switch, hazard warning switch, or simply just a flasher switch.

Rear turn signal light not flashing. 2001 Sport Trac

Lamp, bulb, supply and ground obviously ok as the hazards work - I suspect the hazard switch might be faulty or something like a dodgy multiway connector onto the switch...

The turn signals don't work on a 99 Oldsmobile cutlass and the fuse isn't blown how can I fix

When the ignition switch is in the RUN or the START position, voltage is applied through the TURN/LPS fuse to the normally closed contacts of the hazard switch. A single flasher in the hazard switch performs the following functions:
• The turn signal operation
• The hazard flasher operation
When the turn signal switch is in the LEFT position, voltage is applied to the following components:
• The left turn indicator
• The left front park/turn lamp
• The left rear turn lamp
The lamps immediately turn on and flash as the flasher opens and closes the circuit. If a bulb is in need of replacement, the turn lamps will flash at twice the normal rate.
Without testing i would probably say the flasher is bad .
do the four ways work ?

I can't find the turn signal flashers on my 99 Olds delta 88 but I did find the emergency flasher. Does it have one or two flashers because my signal light are not working at all HELP PLEASE!!

One flasher only. Check fuses first. Then suspect the flasher as a possibility. I have seen the hazard switch cause the turn signals to malfunction. Try pressing the hazard button in. If they work and flash as hazards you know the bulbs and flasher are ok. If the turn signals then work you have a defective multifunction switch (the hazard/turn signal/etc switch)

Why does nothing at all happen when hazard switch is pushed in to on position?

If your Hazard lights flash when you turn them on then it could possibly be the bulb behind the Hazard Button. There is a tiny bulb behind the switch to indicate when it is turned on. This bulb has possibly burned out and is in need of replacement. If your Hazard lights don't flash when pushing the switch it could possibly be that somewhere along your four flasher lamps there is a bad bulb or maybe more. Since you've checked the fuses and came to the conclusion that all were fine.

Hasards dont come on on a 2000 isuzu trooper

No need to panic-this can SEEM TO be caused by a couple of things, but it is fairly simple to determine exactly what is causing this flasher circuit condition.
First, turn on your flashers, however you have to do it, and walk around the truck to check that all bulbs are working (at least one on each corner). Turn signal and hazard flasher relays are thermal circuit interrupters and are current sensitive and will not work properly with too few or too many bulbs in the circuit. (This is usually a big problem when switching over to LED lamps, as LEDs only draw a fraction of the current that the bulbs do. This causes the relay to either not flash at all or flash very fast and triggers warning circuits on newer cars) If there is one or more bulbs out, they must be replaced.
That being said, I doubt that alone is your problem. Here is a general automotive wiring primer aimed at the turn signal, hazard, stop, and running lights on most all motor vehicles.
Hazard flashers are required by D.O.T. safety standards on all motor vehicles that may ever be used anywhere near a public road. They are also required to be able to be used without the ignition key. This means the flasher circuit for hazards is fed thru a fuse that connects straight to the battery and is energized at all times.
Turn signal circuits often share the same flasher relay as the Hazards, even though the power for them is switched through the ignition key. Power for directional blinkers connects to a fuse, then the ignition switch, then to the battery.
So, if you have to turn on the turn signals (is the key on?) to get hazards to work, that means they are not getting power direct from the battery, but can get it when the turn signals are on because they both use the same relay. This is usually the case on all vehicles; If 4-way flashers and turn signal are both on at once, the 4-ways override the turn signal and force all signal bulbs to flash. The turn signal never forces one side of the hazards to stop blinking.
So, where does that leave us? You simply have a blown fuse, my friend. The hazard lamps fuse may also power the cigarette lighter, dome light, or other "always on" accessories. This varies with make & model, but the Hazard Lps fuse is usually well marked in the fusebox. If the fuse blows again shortly after being installed, do not put in a larger one! Try one more. If it also blows immediately, there is a problem with the wiring, or a bulb could be in wrong and shorting to the socket ground. Try removing all the flasher bulbs and trying the switch(it won't flash or "tick-tock") again. If the fuse does not blow, you have found the problem. Good hunting!

Turn signal will not flash

Check bulbs to see if all bulbs are lighting. Check to see if the Hazard lights flash. Replace flasher under dash for turn signal if bulbs are good and hazard flasher works. Otherwise, the turn signal switch might be bad in the steering column..

I have a 2003 Chevy Malibu and when the Hazard lights are engaged they flash erratically. Anyone have an idea?

Problem is probably with the flasher it's self. Does the flasher click even after the turn signals cancel? if so, the hazard switch is the flasher on these cars. Replace the hazard switch

Where is the turn signal flasher located for a 97 cadillac deville.

to the left of the steering collum connected to the under collum kick panel as you take the panel down it'll be connected to the cover, It's not a genaric flasher, it's square and looks like a relay585157684.jpgCost about 6 bucks at the parts store. If the turn signals aren't flashing and they do come on, and may be they flash on one side and not the other then it's not the flashers fault. All the light bulbs have to work or it won't flash and thats how you know that thiers a bulb out. Turn on the four ways flashers (Hazard lights ) and walk arounf the car and see if thier all working and flashing brightly. They'll flash anyway on four way the switches are known to hang in hazard and not work right on turn signal so try switching ti a few times and maybe it'll straighten out. If it flashes at all the flasher is good and if they don't even light not on hazard or turn the flasher and or the fuse is bad.
