Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

I have a 2007 trailblazer. The rear speakers didn't work and some of the head unit lights didn't work. I replaced the headed unit and that didn't fix it. I then replaced both speakers and one works but the drivers side rear still isn't working. Thoughts? And yes I doubled checked the wiring and connections.

Put new wireing in going to both back speakers, Factory wireing is verry thin end it breaks with age. Change it over to at least 16 guage speaker wire or 12 guage, Your system will sound a lot better.

SOURCE: rear speakers do not work

Either the balance is off on the head unit, or the the out puts (in the head unit) for the rear speakers are blown.

SOURCE: Brake light, Driver Side, will not come on.

Hello, I would first check your fuses to your lights first. Then I would press on the brake and have some one check and see if the brake lights come on. If not it is a possible brake light switch and this will probaly need to be replaced. I would check for loose connections on this and check the connections to your back lights as well. The brake light switch is connected to the top of your brake pedal assembly. If these are not the problems it is a possible short in your tailight assembly. I hope this solves your problem for you!

SOURCE: drivers side head light doesnt work. i replaced

A bad ground. Use a voltmeter and check the voltage at the bulb socket. If you do not read 12 volts at the socket, take a reading from the positive on the socket, and the engine block or battery for the negative. If you then get the 12 volts, you need to fix the ground wire

Rear speakers don't work after new head unit

There could be several reasons why the head unit for your car does not work. The most likely issue is that the head unit is not compatible with your stereo system. You can consult your vehicle owner's manual for speaker issues.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my 1998 vt Holden commodore, the back speakers stopped working and I thought I just needed to replace them, however the new speakers weren't working as well so I think that it might be the wiring o

If both rear speakers failed at the same time then do the following:

1) Check that the fader control on the stereo is set to power the rear speakers.

2) Check continuity of the wires to the rear by disconnecting the head unit (stereo) and testing with a multimeter.

My best guess is that the head unit is either set incorrectly or that it's output to the rear speakers has failed. It's uncommon for both rear speakers to fail at the same time, so the stereo unit is most likely at fault.

2007 Chrysler 300 dash speakers and front right speaker aren't working

there is an amp usually built into the factory head unit or mounted in the dash behind the head unit. I would try running a new wire straight from the back of the stereo to the speaker and see if it works. if it does then you have a broken wire and need to run new ones

How do I change the rear turn signal bulb on my 2007 pontiac g6 convertible

Probably too late for you, but others may benefit as I just did this.
In your trunk on each rear side panel, you will find several rubber stoppers approximately 1" wide. take a flat head screwdriver and pry underneath to loosen then pull the stopper out.
Take a socket set you and find the right size socket for your nut and take out the 2 nuts on top and the bolt at the bottom (my bottom bolt didn't have a stopper on it).
Pull out the tail light assembly. Remove the bad bulb from the back of the assembly and replace with a new bulb (look up type of bulb to buy in your owners manual). Replace hardware and test lights.

Rear speakers stopped working in 2004 chevrolet trailblazer

This could be caused by many things. Generally, if they just stop working altogether (without being abused) it's a failure in the internal amplifier in the radio (head unit) itself. Other possibilities include:

1.) Blown speakers due to abuse
2.) Faulty wiring

You can test for a blown speaker by using a multimeter to measure the resistance in each speaker. Unhook them and put the contacts on the terminals. They should read at or near 4 ohms of resistance. If it is 0 or near 0, they are blown. Ask your kids if they turned daddy's radio up loud when he goes into the store ;)
