For starters, fit a new set of spark plugs and test the HT plug and coild lead for high resistance. If you have the fuel injected engine, test the fuel pressure in the fuel rail and if this is ok, have the injectors cleaned and calibrated. If still aproblem, remove the negative battery terminal, wait a minute or so and re-fit it. This will re-set the engine management computer back to factory defaults. These things should do it.

If you are wright it sounds like the timing chain . Some times it will sound like it is under pressure when it cranks but not always when it has jumped time . Check the wires first you might have gotten them mixed up when you changed the cap .

CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE.IT SHOULD BE 12.5 VOLTS.IF BATTERY OKAY.YOUR FUEL FILTER COULD BE STOPPED UP.OR YOU NEED NEW PLUGS + WIRES + CAP AND ROTOR.

95 jeep wrangler 4cyl takes two minutes of cranking before it turns over. changed plugs , wires, distributer cap and roter , fuel pump. still having same problem???

check the coil output. you should have a good healthy spark both from the coil and at the plug ends of the wires (should easily bridge a 1/4" or most times even wider gap.) I would also check the engine compression.
You did change the fuel filter when you did the pump? How does the air filter look?
if everything I mentioned checks out as good, then you will need to get a chiltons, haynes or other manual and individually test all sensors etc to see if anything is out of range. Obviously with numerous items that can potentially cause the same problem, no one can guess what exactly the problem is but I hope one of my suggestions points you in the right direction.
Good luck!
