Question about 1992 Plymouth Voyager

1 Answer

What is the oil pressure supposed to be on a 1992 plymouth voyager?

I can't find anywhere what the oil pressure is supposed to be? What psi? Also, to verify sending unit is operating, what position should the gauge be in during normal operating conditions?

You have a bad ground, probably at the sending unit on top of tank. Check all fuel system grounds.

Sounds like either a fuel pump or throttle position sensor. Check the pressure at the port on the fuel rail. It should be at least 30 PSI while running. TPS is mounted right on the throttle body. Amazon sells them both.

Oil light is dinging when idleing 99 plymouth voyager

The warning light is telling the engine oil pressure is below 10psi.
The problem could be a faulty pressure switch, or the engine could really have low oil pressure.
You can replace the switch, or check the pressure with a mechanical gauge and see what happens.

oil pressure should be around 80 to 90 psi when first start, and then drop to 25 when oil is warm. it depends on the oil grade you use. in your car you should have 10w30 . if it is low. first try a oil pressure sensor and good clean oil

That is the oil pressure gauge not the oil level gauge. Sometimes they can act that way when the oil is thin. When is the last time the oil was changed? Try using a heavier weight oil. When engines wear they require thicker oil. What size engine does you voyager have?
