Check your muffler for holes. The gases can enter the passengers cabin and it can smell like gas, specially if your car isn't burning gasoline completely due to bad tuning.

Nice story
Can't guess at your vehicles issues
Be at the shop & see first hand what testing
is done & how the result were obtained
Smelling gas has nothing to do with a fuel pump,
unless the tank gasket leaks
Ask what tests resulted in that conclusion.

Natural gas smell from my lincoln mkx

Cylinder Misfires or a Rich Fuel mix,
that is overheating the Exhaust Converter
& giving you the smell

You have to correct the fuel trim or ruin the
converters

Need professional test equipment & take that
on a road test

A repair shop can do that

Don't need a dealer,nothing special
they do

My 2000 park avenue smell like gas when I'm

Have the entire fuel system inspected for leaks this means it has to go up on a car lift. Do this soon as there is grave fire danger here.

Check engine is on and there is a gas smell

First off, you check for codes within a day or two
of any check light being on your dash

Then you have the system that the codes point
to ,diagnosed & component tested

You certainly never continue to drive any vehicle
for 2 or 3 days, let alone 2 or 3 weeks ,unless you
intend to ruin it & have a possible big repair bill.

Those lights are not the old idiot lights of the 1970's
They are actual fault codes & a vehicle in need of repair

The Gas Smell may be an EVAP System issue
The gas smell should be enough to stop using it
immediately & have resolved

Sounds like you have some significant carburetor or fuel line problems. I wouldn't drive this thing at all if you smell gas inside the car. Gas fumes are more explosive than gasoline itself. One small electrical spark and at best, you'll explode and die. At worst, you may end up with burns all over your body and spend the rest of your life in terrible pain.

Cannot locate source of gas smell 1986 Merc 190E

look for wet spots or stains on the motor !
alsodust & grime could be hiding a leak or a fracture in a fuel line or it could be a leaking fuel injector
check fiewall for loos ao brocken rubber grommets that pipes & wires pass through that could be allowing fumes into the cabin
cheers Rob.
