I have check compression all 8cly over 100 p.s.i makes spark just not in time with compreeion

Check the gap's on your spark plugs, then check for vacume leaks

A D-50 with a carb - that is a few years old and probably lots of miles on it.
If you know you has gas and spark to the plugs then either there is not enough compression (engine worn out) or the timing of spark to compression stroke of the engine is wrong.
Make sure the timing belt is ok
Then check compression - the lowest cylinder should not be less than half of the PSI of the highest cylinder and they should be about 125 PSI or more. If it is down as far as 100 PSI it may still run but is very weak. Be aware also that Compression guages can vary significantly in their readings.
While you are checking cylinder #1 - check to see if the distributor lines up to #1 tower on the cap while the compression stroke pushes air out.

Spark, gas, and compression. And check timing. You've done the major work. Now you have to make sure you have done it right. By getting it running, you know. I'm pretty sure you can rent a fuel pressure tester and a cylinder compression tester at some national parts stores, Autozone or O'reillys, maybe others.
I don't understand your expression "...a little miss from bottom end" -an ignition miss, or a bottom skip or noise?

Start with checking ignition-a blue snapping spark-what you want to see at all cylinders. Then check that gas is getting into the cylinders. Fuel pressure and injector solenoid pulse. Then all you need after that is compression -good even compression in all cylinders-. Timing is right, spark timing is right, it should crank, er start.
Just one thing about compression, on a cold engine you're just looking for gross irregularities, you can't depend on the readings to be very accurate. A good compression test should be done on an engine at normal operating temperature. It gives a more accurate picture of your engine condition. As long as compression is over 100 psi per cylinder on a cold engine might be a general guideline, I suppose, but take that as only opinion, not fact..

All four cylinders should have over 100 #'s of pressure-ideally over 150#'s-and they should be even or close to even.
You could take off the timing belt cover and check the timing, but it sounds like 2 bad cylinders-which could be a valve train problem.

We have replaced timming belt but cant get it to start

Double check and make sure you are set to #1 TDC then verify you have the timing marks aligned correctly. This happens a lot when the timing marks slip and the vehicle is 90 to 100 degrees out of time. If it were 180 degrees out it would start but run very rough. If you replaced the timing belt because it broke while the engine was running do a compression check or connect a small compressor to a line you can screw into the the spark plug holes and see if you have any compression or in 2 or more cylinders have no compression. If this test is true your valves are bent and you will have to have the head rebuilt.

Hello regenald_135: My name is Roger and I will help. It appears you have replaced most of the parts related to a misfire. Have you checked the compression in number two cylinder? Without the proper compression the cylinder will not fire. The compression should be (120 to 150)psi. But any thing less than (100)psi. and the cylinder will not fire. The cause of low compression could be valve or piston related.Having replaced all the parts that already I would strongly recommend the compression test as this will likely show the problem. One other place you might also check. Remove the distributor cap. Try to move the rotor side to side.If the rotor wobbles side to side the distributor shaft bushings are worn. Be movement I mean more then a few thousands of a inch. I have ran across this a couple of times. This usually presents as a out of time engine. But could be the early stage of distributor failure. Hello mrhbollinger: My name is Roger and I will help you. You did not say Exactly what happened. If you were driving down the road and the engine died? Or if you pulled up to a stop and the engine died? I would check a few things first. Does the engine have over 60,000 to100,000 miles on it? If so I would look at the timing belt as a problem. Check the compression Compression should be around 160 psi. Any thing less then a 100 psi. the cylinder will not fire. Also keep in mind that this engine is a interference engine. This means should the timing belt break. The engine will suffer severe internal engine damage. By that I mean any valve that was open when timing belt broke will be damaged. Piston damage will also accrue. If the timing belt is not th problem I would look at the fuel system you should have 43 psi at the test port.I would also test for spark at the spark plug wires. If you have none and you check spark first. Check compression to make sure the timing belt is not the problem. If you remove the oil cap and can see the the camshaft. Have some one crank the engine over. If the valves do not move the timing belt is the problem. Should you need further help please just ask Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Cylinder #1 misfire on a Ford Taurus SHO

Did you check the condition of the spark plug? If the plug is good do a compression check; a very low reading could indicate a sticking intake valve (sticking open). The easyest and cheapest way to fix a sticking valve is to introduce 1/2 can of Sea Foam into the air intake manafold; just follow the instructions on the can except you will use 1/2 can instead of 1/3 can. That Yamaha motor from what I have found collects tons of gunk on the valve stems. Good luck.
