Solution: #1 move to a tropical climate. Well, that's probably not possible, so I guess we have to figure out what's wrong w/ the malibu. #2 Battery keeps dying--after u charge it, how long til it dies? Bring it to a parts store, most will check the battery and charging system for free, u need to do this to see what the problem is (weak battery, bad alternator, etc.) Do the obvious 1st, make sure battery connections are clean and tight, no corrosion. The weird noises the brakes make: solution- it's darn cold out, wear ear muffs so u stay warm AND can't hear the brakes. No good? Ok, describe the brake noises, and when they happen. All the time? When applying brakes only? Front, back? One wheel, all wheels? U should have wear indicators on the brake pads, when they make contact w/ the rotor they make 'weird noises', which is a warning that u will soon have to replace the brakes. The lever for the hood is broken, time for a can opener to get access to the engine compartment. Try this, pull hood release, push DOWN on hood while tryiing to release it, then pull up. And last, it's super cold so the battery keeps dying, see #1 or 2 above. Let me know how u make out (if u don't freeze to death).

It may not be the battery you ralternator may not be charging your battery enough to deal with the cold weather drive it to a auto parts store and they can check them both in the car for you and tell you what is wrong as for your brakes it is probably time to change them and/or the rotors

Sounds like a bad battery or alternator, or it could have thrown the drive belt off. Check too see that the belt is still on and then charge the battery and see if it starts. If it starts, run for a while and dies again with no crank, it is most likely an alternator.

Truck died while driving

somewhere you have a broken main wire or cable that is powered from your battery. Check the positive lead off your battery, does it connect to a separate terminal ? it could be broken or loose at that point.

It depends how long you had the battery. Sometimes in cold weather the cranking amps in the battery are low. If the battery is too old and the temperature is too cold, the cranking amps are low. When you get a boost the battery from the other vehicle normally generates enough power to start the car, but the amps are not enough to keep it going once you turn it off or it could need a tune-up.

Battery light means the alternator is not charging so if you keep driving it eventually the battery will die. The brake light may be on if the emergency brake lever is pulled even a little bit.

Can't pop hood on 2007 Chevy Tahoe

Sounds like the "hood release cable" pulled loose from the clip uneder the hood ...you will have to take a long nose plier reach up from under the car to where the under hood latch is and see if you can get hold of the cable / latch mechanism and release it that way . as far as the battery sounds like the battery is not holding a charge .

Battery keeps dying

Apparently the 03 wranglers have a tendency to have faulty fog light switches. It might be that your fog light switch is broken and they stay on all the time, and drain the battery. I just had this happen to me and realized after jumping it twice, that my fog lights won't turn off. Hope this helps

Broken Hood Release

Hello There

In short no there isn't, however it's most likely your plastic release lever is broken and not the metal cable, you need to open the cover over the release lever, there will be a cable you can pull using a gripper and it will release the bonnet, you can easily replace the plastic llever and it's reletively cheap.

Hope this helps, please don't forget to rate me.
