Question about 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier
The car will start, but will not stay running, like the car is sensing someone is stealing it and shuts down, sometimes will restart, sometimes not for hours or a day. Any ideas what the problem or repair may be?
Thanks for your help,
If the car starts and dies right away you may have a pass key sensor fault.
Try to start the car,if the car dies right away just leave the key on and watch the security light in the insturment panel,if it begins to blink leave the key on until it stops blinking (apx 10 mins.) this will reprogram the pass lock to the pcm and may solve all your problems.if the car continues to die after running a min or so then you may have other faults,or if the car dies right after start the pass lock sensor may need to be replaced.
