SOURCE: can't get clutch to engage on air contioner.

Back by the firewall on the passenger side of the truck, the accumulator has a two wire plug and pressure sensor. If you jump remove the plug and jump the two points while the ac is set to on and the engine is running. Check to see if the compressor kicks off. If it runs then you have either low freon or a bad sensor.

SOURCE: 2002 Honda cr-v ac compressor clutch won't

you change the clutch on the end with no problem ,just the nut in the middle then underneath is some more bolts if i remember correctly ,i had two of these clutches laying around and i would have sent you both as they worked but i had a clear up about a week ago and threw them in the scrap bin.same model with a 4 cyl engine and the compressor had a snail cam type mechanism to pressure up the gas which is not a very good system as they wear out too quick and they are over a 1000euros and only available from honda .

SOURCE: 2008 Honda Civic dx rebuilt AC compressor always on regardless of controls

OOPS ! Now, it sounds like the A/C relay is constantly on. In the power distribution box by the battery, try swapping another relay for the A/C relay (which turns the compressor on), and see if it now stops. If so, buy a new relay. Good luck.

JUST BOUGHT A 2004 HONDA ACCORD LX AND THE AC IS NOT GETTING COLD. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE CAUSES?

The most common cause is that the system has leaked the freon out. If this is the case, the leak must be located and repaired. It can be anywhere in the system, but more commonly at the compressor seals, the service port valves and O-rings in the fittings for the tubes and hoses. It could also be the condenser or the evaporator leaking.
Other causes would include a malfunctioning control head inside the car, a malfunctioning air-blend door, a burned-up compressor clutch, or bad (shorted or open) wiring in the system.
Inoperative radiator cooling fans can also cause the A/C to not cool.
To put it real simple...it needs to be properly diagnosed to avoid wasting money "guessing" what the problem could be.

My 07 Honda crv A/C compressor will not engage. On board DTC, fuses and relays check OK. What could the problem be, most likely?

If you have already checked pressure or put in a can of freon, then it could be the compressor clutch is bad or is not being energized.
Check for voltage at the wire to the compressor clutch, and that the compressor is properly grounded.
If you want to by pass the relay and control for the relay, just power the clutch wire with a jumper. You should see the center of the compressor hub start to spin along with the rim of the pulley.

2 Questions 02 Honda CRV Sport passenger side

  1. You have to hit your unlock button a second time to unlock the other doors. If you know this and are, and it's only the one door that's not working, then you need a power door lock actuator replaced. It's attached to the latch inside the door and unlocks and lock the door.
  2. Not sure what a burring sound is, but if you're describing what it sounds like then it could be the A/C clutch, but you also have to remember that you should notice the RPMs on a CR-V drop about 500rpm when the A/C compressor clutch engages. That's normal. If it's making a funny sound, you need to have a Honda dealer check it out, they will know for sure if it's normal or not.

2001 honda civic Air conditioner will not blow cold. I went to recharge it the other day and when i put the gauge on the low side the pressure was extremely high 80psi+. Why? Is this something i can fix??

Air conditioning systems are always high-pressure systems, simply because the refrigerant used is a gas forced to become liquid.

In fact, a loss in pressure in the cooling lines means that your system will have no cooling capacity.

Your problem description points towards your compressor not engaging. There could be a switch in your car's interior/dashboard that indicates 'COOL' or A/C (or something like it) that should manually engage/disengage your a/c compressor.

In case this still does not work, your compressor clutch or the electrical system engaging this is faulty and will need the attention of a qualified service technician.

Hope this helps.

Air conditioner inop

First suggestion is the clutch not engaging. Check voltage at clutch plug and confirm power source, if there is power there then clutch would work unless it has failed.
