SOURCE: Jeep hard lower soft upper doors 1989 vs. 1991

To make this adjustment you have to loosen the 3 bolts that hold the windshield frame to the dash and the bolt that allows for adjustment in the rollbar extensions. This will allow you to push the windshield forward or backward to close the gap. then tighten everything back up!

1989 Allante 4.5L #5 plug fouling, idle misfire. Seems to be vacuum leak but all hoses and visible connections are ok. Replaced, plug, wire, cap, and it ran better til plug fouled again. I wonder if...

You could have the intake & EVAP System checked
with an EVAP Smoke Machine

Fouled with what,oil ?
Vacuum leak not likely to cause that

If that motor is all original 22 years old !!

89 cadillac alante a/c compressor

You are not going to find a functional one at junkyard nor a new one at a dealer. You are going to have to remove it and trade it for a rebuilt one at an auto parts store. Then you are going to have to have a shop recharge the system. On a car that old, the entire system may be leaky and the other components shot as well. So before you buy one part, take it to a shop which does auto heating and A/C and have them check the system for integrity before you replace any parts.

1987 cadillac allante drivers side seat track do not work

I would suggest you go to the auto parts store and pick up some White Lithium Grease Spray from CRC like this...and spray the track to get it moving again. I know this is short, but it seems like an easy fix.

If you need further clarification, let me know.

1989 Allante Engine Contro Fault light on Dashboard goes off fro a few minutes and then back on

PRobably from a fast Idle,
Check through the fault codes using the Driver Information Center (DIC)
Probably an"054". The engine shopuld Idle @750rpm. Anything above 900rpm will set the code in the DIC.Throttle Body switch position problem.

Wiper fluid pipe detached,,

OK, go to the auto parts store and try to rejoin the wiper fluid pipe using soft rubber tubing 3/16" to 5/32" inner diameter and jam it on to the solid rigid tubing if that is where the break is.

If you have soft tubing that broke, you can get male plastic joiners that join the two broken soft rubber tubing pieces together.

The auto parts store will have a full assortment of adapters and tubes that can be used on your Mercedes Benz or any car for that matter.

I repaired the piping that broke due to years of heat damage with soft rubber vacuum/windshield wiper fluid tubing.

I wish you luck on this.

Check engine light wont turn off and starts hard when cold

YOU WILL NEED TO FIND A SHOP OR SOMONE THAT HAS DIOGNOSTIC SCANNER FOR AN OBD1 SYSTEM OR AN OLD HAND HELD READER THAT FLASHES OUT A CODE TO TELL YOU WHAT MADE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON IN THE FIRST PLACE, YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO HAVE ACCESS TO A WAY TO FIND OUT WHAT THE CODE IS IF YOU USE AN OLD STYLE FLASH READER SOME SHOPS STILL HAVE CODE BOOKS THAT GO BACK THAT FAR ,EXAMPLE LIKE BACK TO 1989 YEAR MODEL AND OLDER ,BECAUSE IN 1996 THEY CHANGED OVER TO OBD2, AND THEY ARE ALOT EASIER TO GET CHECKED OUT ,MOST AUTO ZONE STORES WILL READ THE CODES FOR FREE ON OBD2 SYSTEM CARS,& SOME STORES HAVE THE EQUIPMENT TO CHECK ANY YEAR MODEL WITH A DIOGNOSTIC PORT PLUG ,AND AS FAR AS I KNOW ALL STORES DO IT FOR FREE ,I KNOW THEY WILL DO THEM FREE ON OBD2, & CAN SYSTEMS.
