Question about Buick Rainier
My check engine light comes on and when I bring it to the dealership they say my thermostat is bad. This happens at least twice a year why do they keep going out?
Why don't you buy a quality thermostat at auto parts
store ,install yourself & end that problem?
They don't fail, your not being told what ever is happening
Forget the dealer after the warranty runs out & go to a honest
& knowledgeable repair shop
Do you know what the codes are, whenever you get a check light ?
You can get the codes at auto parts store for free & go home &
look up on internet

the scan tool that you are using will not read codes from all of the modules. take the car to a gm dealer to have it checked with a tech2

okay lets start with the po 068 & po 108, check the connection to the mass air flow sensor if conn are good replace the mass air flow sensor, that should solve the two codes, now the po455 is a evap gross leak detected. first is to make sure gas cap is good and on tight, i f it is then look for broken evap lines or hoses, it a line that sends vaccum to evap canister and another line that send fuel vapors to engine and canister check lines, also there are valve that you should check vent and purge valves, this part you may need a shop to test valves, hope this is helpful,
