First step is to scan the abs module for trouble codes. Most likely it is a speed sensor issue. The trouble codes will help narrow down the possibilities. You will need a high end scan tool to do this or an ABS specific code reader, usually a couple hundred dollars. Most likely the repair shops in your area will charge half this amount to diagnose the problem. You can then decide if you want to repair yourself or have other make the repairs. A couple thing you can do... If the light comes on and stays on check all the wire harnesses going to the four speed sensors for each wheel for cracked or broken wires. If the light comes on after you start driving than check the tone rings on the drive axles for cracks. Let me know what you find.

I have a mitibushi lancer 1999 model. An the hand brake light wont go off ever. How can i fix this?

Are you sure it is due to the hand brake? the light will also come on for low brake fluid or due to low pressure in brake ssystem and also is the abs light on, if you have abs, a fast way to check this would be to locate the switch at the hand brake and remove the connector at the switch and if the light is still on then it is not due to hand brake.let me know, make sure the brake fluid is full and the sender in the master is good/

ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT ARE ON

Check the brake fluid level and add if needed. If the fluid is low ...I would inspect the brake system. Inspect brake pad thickness and check for any brake fluid leaks. If the fluid is full and the abs light is still on..the code or codes will need to be retrived from the ABS Module to determine what part of the system is having a fault.

Abs light

The warning light has very little to do with the hydraulic brake system.
The ABS system uses the hydraulic system to prevent the brakes from locking up.
You would need to have the body computer scanned for trouble codes to proceed with repairs.

Nothing to do with fluids

The abs and safety brake light has come on. Is this a fuse problem

check your brake fluid level, brake system, wheel sensors. Dirty wheel sensors usually cause the ABS light to come on. As for the brake warning light, it may be low on fluid (possible leak) or faulty E-brake switch.

My brake light stays on and the fluid is full. what can i do to fix it

is it the abs light or the brake light there could be a couple different things wrong with it. if it's the abs light your abs system is acting up and it will need to be checked out. if it's the brake light then your brake fluid level sensor could be bad, or your parking brake switch could be going out, and there's other things that could be wrong with it.

Flashing hand brake light is on give,s 3 beeps when pulling off plus abs light is on i think left hand front abs sensor is gone would this cause the handbrake light to flash all fluid levels are spot on ....

Yes. Both lights usually come on when there is an ABS problem detected whereas the brake light will usaully only come on by itself with the hand brake or low fluid.
