If you place the flate blade of a screwdriver to the right side of the light(s) housing. And push gently to the left the catch will release and the unit will drop out of the trunk lid. Twist the bulb 1/4 turn and remove. Just reverse the process to complete.
Open the trunk to eye level to see to make it easier to see. Applies to all 02-05 Devilles

Some Have Lenses So Check For Screws On The Lenses And Replace By Removing The Screws And Pulling The Bulb. Others Have To Be Changed Via The Trunk Lift Cloth Cover And Or Plastic Panel And Twist Harness And Pull. Then Check Replace Bulb.

You should be able to access the bulbs by unscrewing the license plate lamp housing. Its typically held in place by a couple screws, then you remove it and pull the bulb out of the socket and replace.

How do i replace the license plate lights on my 1990 honda accord. i can't get the bulb out of the socket

You should have two license plate lights, right above the license plate. If you remove the two screws that hold the one you want to change in, the entire fixture will drop down(best to do this with the trunk open). Remove the metal clip plate that covers the bulb. The bulb SHOULD simply pull directly out.
Hope this helps you.

License plate light replacement

The license plate lights are in the ledge above the license plate. 2 screws keep the lens cover in place. Remove the screws, and the cover comes off. Just pull the lamp out (wedge base) and replace.

1996 ford explorer license plate fuse

I'm not to sure what one you did want license plate light or the tag light up high above your back door. I know I am reading license plate so I will say the fuse needs to be replaced. plate lamps need 2 light bulbs and the fuse box is under the steering wheel or under the hood there are 2.
in my book it said that it is a (194 trade number), I woulds change out bulbs and then fuse.
