Question about 2003 Kia Spectra
Have the replacement glass, but woud like to reattach the controls for the outside mirror, there are 3 flexible cables sticking out of the assembly that I don't know where to attach....wondering if the "motor" is missing although it is a manually adjusted mirror
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

it dosent matter if you move the mirror around i have a Kia cerato known as spectra 5 in other countries(just bring the mirror back to position after replacement) . just get a flat screwdriver and pry the old mirror (with back plate) and then pry the mirror out from the back plate and stick the new mirror in then gently push the mirror into yhe housing.(i broke my driver(rightside UK) mirror as well just takes about 20 mins to replace it if u have the right glass) make sure you do not apply too much pressure to the back plate and the new mirror take ur time and every thing will be fine

The interior door panel will need to be removed. Pull all visual screws from the panel, once the screws are removed, pry the panel away from the door. keep in mind the handle linkage will need to be removed, it will be self explanatory when disassembled. Once the panel is removed, use a 10mm socket to unscrew the mirror from the door pillar and replace.
