THe noise comes when the car crosses over a speed braker or a small pot hole.
Have a front end shop inspect the rubber suspension bushings in the front end components for noise or wear..

SOURCE: left front thumps when driving
The sound you hear sounds like a main wheel bearing.Because it increases when you make a left it is 100% on that side.I would start there and check the other components as you go. Good Luck

There are a few suspension parts that can cause knocking noises. Such as swar bar loose, strut mounts going bad. You should really have a shop do a complete suspension check.

Yes it may and may not. Since it's a 2011, suspensions are new and real tough so you can leave the worry behind. If there are no grinding or squeaking noise underneath then you're good.
