SOURCE: 99 Sunfire Coolant keeps dumping

You need to find the source of the leak. it hasn't overheated yet because you keep catching it and re-filling. From your description, it sounds a lot like a bad water pump seal (part of pump) but without physically looking you can't be sure of that. when the pump seal begins to fail, internal pressure while running often will drive the seal tighter against the shaft stopping the leak. as pressure drops as the engine cools, the seal relaxes and permits seepage.
With time, that will change and it will leak all the time.

Check the vacuum lines on the fuel pressure regulator and check the regulator itself. Its a small round piece at the end of the fuel rail, theyre relatively cheap and easy to change. The rubber diaphragm inside the regulator corrodes and rips over time and the car will loose fuel pressure. You can have a garage run a check on the fuel system to narrow it down.

The regulator looks like this:

Drove it home everything was ok! went out the next

sounds like a broken timing belt, timing belts like to break during engine cranking and engine shut down. there are inspection holes in the timing cover,if you can't determine, remove top half of timing cover and check belt for slap,if there's slap,it's broke.

1997 mpv mini van runs great. While traveling i drove from SC to Atl GA....parked and went into motel for evening...the next morning i had very difficult time getting it re started....Like it was not...

I think you should check your battery and alternator. If they both check good you may have a battery draw, something draining the battery over night.Check your doors make sure they are closing like they should.

Starter kick back

If this is a gas engine, check the ignition coil or plug wires. A simple test...

Start the truck at night, then look under the hood while it's running. Don't use a flashlight or your headlights; it should be dark !

If you see sparks anywhere around the engine, you've found the problem. Now you can turn on a light to see where they're coming from - probably from a cracked ignition coil.

Good luck !
