SOURCE: rpms drop on acceleration on 94 subaru impreza L

If your car has coil packs it is most likly them. Some Impreza cars especially the Turbo versions have individual coils built into the lead at the plug end. If your car has these then they crack down the side . If you take them out you can see a fine crack in the plastic. You cannot fix them, they have to be replaced. Check to see if you have them, it might help.

SOURCE: Need to replace clutch

hands down the trans...under optimal conditions I have done this repair in under an hour. If you were to remove the engine for this repair you are going to struggle aligning the input shaft from trans into new clutch plate when re-assembling. The trans is so light weight a jack is not entirely needed at all and no fluids, coolant or oil would have to be drained as well.If the exhaust Y pipe comes down without any bolt removal problems ,you are basically home free but do remeber to drive out the roll pins in the DOJ (transmission side axle joint)

How to take transmission out

It is a pretty involving process to remove and replace the transmission on a Honda Odyssey and not recommended for the home DIY mechanic. Without a vehicle hoist or lift, it is a daunting task to undertake. This will be a brief description of what may need to be removed. The engine and transmission sits on a sub frame cradle. The engine will need to be held and supported by an engine support bar. The sub frame is then unbolted from the bottom. All things necessary must be removed before the sub frame can come out. For example, the rack and pinion bolts, sway bar, lower front ball joints, front and rear engine mounts, and any and all brackets and hard lines. After the sub frame is completely out, the flywheel bolts will have to be removed from the transmission. The cv-axles will have to be removed along with the transmission fluids being drained. Then the harness/connectors disconnected from the transmission, and then the bolts to the engine and bolts for the transmission mount. With a floorjack, the transmission can then be dropped out from underneath. Installation is the reversal.

How to remove a 3.0 engine from an escape, 2004

Mike, the engine, transmission and front sub-frame must be removed as a unit by dropping them out the bottom. So unless you have access to a vehicle lift, like those found in a professional garage AND a special [$$$] support cradle to hold the assembly while you raise the vehicle [it's on a lift remember] off this assembly, you can not do this job yourself. This job takes a trained pro with all the right tools about 16 hours. To try to do it in your driveway or garage will take over 40 hours [if you could even do it there]. Better you spend that 40 hours working, so that you can pay a pro to do this job for you.

2002 Jaguar X-Type Oil Pan Gasket replacement

have you smashed the sump ??never seen one leak yet?? sure its not the front or rear end oil seals ??..sounds like you have the sub frame in the way ,evan if you remove this bolt you will not be able to drop the sump without removing or lowering the sub frame assembly as the oil pick up pipe stops you from removing the sump in situe. Its not difficult to drop sub frame just time consuming
