04 GMC Canyon remote locking died. Batt replaced on remote..

I replaced the batt. thinking that was it. Nope! When I try to unlock the drivers door it will not work with the key ether! It sometimes will lock all dorrs with remote, but will not unlock them. Is it my module that needs replaced, or the main CPU? Thanks!

It sounds like your key fobs need to be reprogrammed. There are two ways to do that. The first way is to go to the dealership and let them do. The second way is to manually do it. This should work. Get inside the truck and close the door. Apply the parking brake and cycle the key on and off four times. If it enters the program mode either the horn will sound or the door will lock and unlock or vise versa. Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons at the same time. If the key fob reprograms, the locks will lock and unlock or vise versa. Turn the key off and try to lock and unlock the truck with the key fob. If it works then your good to go. I hope this is helpful.

I would bet u have high impedance in your batt. Cables. Ez to check if u have an ohm meter. Put ur metor on the lowest ohms setting. Touch ur leads together, see the voltage reading , like 002 for example. Disconnet the batt. From the cables. Read the resistance from one end of the same lead to the other. If ur reading is more than .002 or lower your cables are bad. Your problem is a classic issue of what you have. Hope that helps.

Sounds as if security has been activated. Try locking and unlocking doors with key fob to reset. You can also try unlocking/locking doors with key using driver side lock

The door lock/unlock on my 2006 GMC Canyon stopped working from the remote FOB and the door lock/unlock buttons on driver & passenger doors. When press buttons on remote, the lights flash on vehicle. ...

you need to check the battery in the key fob remote . If the battery are good . the remote will need to be tested to make sure it is capable of transmitting (only place i know that can test them is the dealer ship but you could call your local parts store to see if they can test). If the the remote test good then it will have to be reprogramed or relearn to the truck .I belive if it needs to be relearned or programed you will need to have that done at a shop with a proper scan tool .

How do you repair the automatic door locks on a 96 Honda Odessey? They make clicking noises after locking the door. the key is worn and I cannot unlock the drivers side door.

Replace the key.
you should have a remote lock/unlock key fob, dose it not work?
Make sure that your battery and cables are in good shape, if batt is low or you have corroded cables there will not be able to activete all the way.
If this won't work then remove the door pannel an inspect the linkage, it may not be making full contact.
