Question about 2004 GMC Canyon
I replaced the batt. thinking that was it. Nope! When I try to unlock the drivers door it will not work with the key ether! It sometimes will lock all dorrs with remote, but will not unlock them. Is it my module that needs replaced, or the main CPU? Thanks!
It sounds like your key fobs need to be reprogrammed. There are two ways to do that. The first way is to go to the dealership and let them do. The second way is to manually do it. This should work. Get inside the truck and close the door. Apply the parking brake and cycle the key on and off four times. If it enters the program mode either the horn will sound or the door will lock and unlock or vise versa. Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons at the same time. If the key fob reprograms, the locks will lock and unlock or vise versa. Turn the key off and try to lock and unlock the truck with the key fob. If it works then your good to go. I hope this is helpful.
