Nissan stereo sy702 with constant err flashing after flat battery

you can try removing the Negative battery terminal, pressing the break pedal for 1 minute, then replacing the terminal and retrying your code.

You probably need to reset the security system to get the car to start. Try taking the key out of the ignition and locking the doors using the remote. Wait about 1 minute for the alarm to finish arming itself then unlock again with the remote and try to start it. The err mesage may be gone now, but if not, you may have to get your radio repaired.

To save money do this: If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. err-3 means you have entered incorrect anti-theft radio code more that three times.If you do not have radio code you can most of the time find the code card tucked away in the owners manual pouch.(looks like a bussiness card)If you are unable to find card you would have to pull radio from dash and retrive stereo serial number,which is on bottom side of radio.once you have s/n you can take s/n to any acura dealership(has to be a dealer)and they can get radio code for that stereo through Honda Corp.once you have correct radio code you will need to first unplug radio,or disconnect battery to reset radio memory,then type in radio code.again if entered incorrectly 3x ,radio would need to be reset again too clear error codes.good luck!

the flexible cable on the laser lens assembly may be broken and may not be easily seen. Replace the entire unit.

When you bought the car your dealer must have given you that code or you can call them and let them know your registeration details they will give u the code for free all you have to do is to give them your details.

Usually this problem will occur when the battery has been disconnected. Have you tried your reset code, which originally should have been located just inside the owner's manual. Make sure you read the instructions, please you only get a couple of tries at a time.

turn key to <acc> turn radio will blink err. leave on for at least half hour.err will be replaced by enter code.
