On a 2.4, there are no timing marks...There are holes in the cam gears that need to be aligned with corresponding holes in the head.
Though it's not terribly difficult to do, it must be done precisely according to instructions or valves will hit the pistons and destroy the engine. You can find instructions for this procedure in haynes and other vehicle service manuals. (too long to write out here).
Remember...this is an exact install...you cannot just get close!!!
Good luck! Post back if you need further specific instructions with any part of the job.

YOU WILL SEE A HOLE IN THE CAM GEAR THAT A 3/8 BOLT WILL FIT INTO. PUT A BOLT INTO THE HOLES OF BOTH CAM GEARS. THEN LINE UP THE CRANK PULLEY KEYWAY AT ABOUT 12 O'CLOCK WITH THE MARK ON THE ENGINE BLOCK.
MAKE SURE TO COMPRESS THE CHAIN TENSIONER AND RELEASE IT WHEN THE CHAIN IS IN POSITION.

Routine inspection of the belt may reveal cracks in the belt ribs.
These cracks will not impair the belt performance. The belt should be
replaced if the belt slip occurs if a section of the belt ribs are
missing. A single serpentine drive belt is used to drive all engine
accessories. All belt driven accessories are rigidly mounted with the
belt tension maintained by a spring loaded tensioner. The indicator on
the movable portion of the tensioner must be within the limits of the
marks of the stationary portion of the tensioner. Any reading outside of
these limits indicates either a defective belt or tensioner.
Fig. To remove the belt, use a 3/8 inch breaker bar in order to rotate the drive belt tensioner in a counterclockwise motion
