Question about 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Help! We are trying to relace the belt for my husband's truck. Its a V8 Silverado 1500 2000 model. What is the trick to getting it on? We got it off and the serpentine belt had to come off as well. Now we can't the AC belt back on. Going on 3 hours. Your assistance is very much appreciated! ;)
After you have removed both belts.place the ac belt over the pullys on the crank all the way to the inside so that the belt will go behind the pulley, then place the ac side on the ac compressor pulley.
know place the belt above the tensioner pully and place belt on crank pulley, then raise the tensioner with a wrench to where you can slide belt under the tensioner pulley and release the tensioner against belt, reinstall other belt as you removed it.
