My 1991 Saab 900S Convertible as been sitting in my garage for quite a while, and I need to open the hood manually; how do I do this if I cannot used the automatic button to open it?
there is a pull lever on the door side of the steering wheel, under the dash, it pulls toward you to release the hood;
if the release cable is broken, you need to make a specially shaped wire tool to release the hood locking pin through the front grille. It needs to be about 1/8 dia wire,and about 16-18 inches long, with a handle bent in one end and to have a 3/4 inch bend up at the other end, bent back toward the handle end at 15 degrees.
Insert thru the grille, hook the rear of the hood lock, and pull the latch toward driver side until hood releases.

I bought this really nice Saab . It has 114.000 miles . The car is a automatic , I believe it should have a overdrive relay or switch . Also the S.R.S light flashes , Is there a quick fix to this problem ? An as you run the car the check engine light appears . Only are a 1/2 hour or so , Oxygen sensor ???? Thanks Phil
