I have a 2006 volvo 2.0 d we recently replaced cutch kit but the clutch is sticky and its losing fluid

If the clutch is engaging while you are pressing the pedal and you are losing fluid either the clutch master cylinder or the clutch slave cylinder is bad. If the fluid is leaking from the firewall on the drivers side its the clutch master cylinder. If the fluid is leaking from the transmission area its the slave cylinder.

Starting problems

having to press the clutch to start is a safety factor common to a lot of clutch operated vehicles. If they cleaned the switch contacts then look for a pressure switch in the hydraulic system (probably on the clutch master cylinder or in the steel line to the slave cylinder) and replace it . To clean it if you can get it apart use a 400 grade emery paper and electrical contact spray cleaner but as contact points are silver coated any cleaning accelerates the contact point failure.

Cant find the clutch reservoir on my audi a4 1.8 eastate r reg..

The Clutch Master Cylinder is located on the firewall inside the engine bay, and usually next to the brake master cylinder as the brake and clutch pedals are usually very close to one another. The Clutch Master Cylinder is responsible for transferring the clutch pedal pressure hydraulically to the slave cylinder to release the clutch. You can tell when your clutch master cylinder is dying or needs repair when you depress your clutch pedal and it slowly sinks to the floor and does not return. Since the entire system is a hydraulic one, the master cylinder also has a reservoir that holds the fluid used in the clutch hydraulic system. If you decide to change the clutch master cylinder it is a good idea to also get a clutch slave cylinder at the same time, as both units typically fail around the same time. When replacing your master or slave cylinder, its always a good idea to flush your entire system to prevent water buildup or air pockets from being present when you are driving. Also always keep an eye on the fluid in your reservoir, dirty fluid may mean that the internal seals are allowing dirt and contaminants into your master cylinder.

Loosing brake fluid bad; no apparent leaks anywhere.

If there is no leakage at any place is safe for the liquid is lost from themaster cylinder to the booster

Location of slave cylinder

I THINK ALL OF THE FORDS HAVE INTERNAL SLAVE CYLINDERS.WHERE I WORK (PROVEN FORCE/CLUTCH AND U-JOINT) WE USUALLY SUGGEST CHANGING WHEN YOU DO THE CLUTCH,BECAUSE IT IS INTERNAL.THEY TEND TO FAIL A LOT IN COLDER WEATHER ALSO

Clutch kit

If a newly installed hydraulic kit leaks after 6 months you need to renew the complete master cylinder or slave cylinder unit.
The leaks are occuring because of wear/corrosion in the metal cylinder.

A brand new unit will operate for many years without further trouble.
