Found this wiring diagram for lift gate, if that is what we're talking about? Not only check the fuses, check fuse circuit for voltage. Use a testlite.

How can I remove the rear latch from the hatch door?

Solution: you need the valet key and there should be a way to open it from the inside -jeff ps please rate , i have had the same problem many times with my mercury villager. one thing i have found to work on more than one occasion is while it is closed, push the back hatch as if you were shutting it. hit the lock button ( either on remote or inside of van ). then push the handle out on the hatch to make sure it will catch all the way. unlock the doors and pull on the handle, the hatch should open with no problem. , if it is electronic check the fuses first. if not electric spray with WD-40 in key hole and around button

The Rear hatch door handle does not unlock

had this problem myself.... you gotta go in through the back and take the plastic/vinal cover off the rear door and look for the lock from the inside..... unlock it .... open the door and then you can repair and lube the mechanism while standing outside like a human being. its not very hard to do.. just take your time and don't force anything.

Battery dead , key stuck in ignition can't open doors or hatch to get to battery in trunk 2006 HHR

remove the rear seat ; if needed; crawl to the back of the hatch and release the hatch lock from inside using a blade screwdriver or, have a locksmith at the dealer make a new key by code using your vin number

Just got a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder in relatively good shape. How do I open the rear hatch/tailgate?

Insert your key into the lock and turn the key left to open the hatch, or right to open the window. There is also a small lever by the door latch that locks the hatch when you close it so you don't have to use the key.

I have a nissan mistral van SUV & Off Road type 4WD. Th e is key is stuck on the driver's door and I can't get out. I try to open the door and the key is still stuck. Please how can I remove it from...

get a bottle of spray lube that has the little red spray tube and flood the lock along the key with lube,, turn key right to left and wiggle up and down,, flood the lock again and push in and pull out on the key a few times and turn key right and left and flood the lock again,, push in and pull out. if this does not remove the key then what has happened is you have a stuck, jammed or broken wafer in the lock and it is binding against the key. the best way to deal with this issue if the key does not come out is to call a locksmith and have him come out and fix the lock and remove the key.
if you do not want to call a locksmith and you are handy with tools -- you can pull the door panel off and remove the door lock and try and manipulate the wafers and get it to release the key. with the lock in hand use a small pin to try and move the wafers away from the key.

Rear hatch is stuck closed possibly from broken glass in lock mec

Removed the inspection cover for the lock mechanism on the inside of the back hatch and used a screw driver to manually unlatch the door while someone else was pulling on the handle. It turned out there was a lot of glass around the pocket where the lock mechanism was possibly binding the lock

I can't lock the rear hatch door on my yukon. There is no key lock and the remote button locks all the other doors but the rear hatch remains unlocked. Also the button on the inside of the vehicle does not...

The lock is stuck in the "locked" position.
When you close the hatch, it is jamming the latch hook into the wrong area.

Manually open the hatch. Unlock the hatch (even tho the hatch is already open). there are two bolts holding the metal "loop", the loop has moved. Adjust the metal loop and close the hatch / lock it, etc.

Rear hatch is stuck

you need to remove the panel form the hatch and spray it with white lithium greae, it is more than likely stuck to dryness.
