SOURCE: 99 mercedes e320.check engine light on.po341

that appears to be a camshaft position sensor performance code. you can start by checking to see if the sensor is working properly, re-check and make sure that the harness is ok by checking the resistance through the harness if all looks well there make sure the computer has the latest software on it by having it scanned at your local dealer. also you can check the reluctor wheel on the camshaft for damage or debris in the way of the sensor.

hope this helps!

So if the question is how to fix you must remove the steering wheel and clean or replace the contact ring normally. Wont really know till you get it apart.

SOURCE: how do I fix the wiring harness? on a 94 mercedes

Depends on how many cables you would need to replace you can actually fix it yourself, but if it involves too much of a job you can buy the replacement, about the prices, it depends if it is second hand or new, also depends who made the wiring harnes, main dealers always overcharge people so as long as it is possible I would stay away from them unless it is still under warranty.

Ideal actuator

From 93-95 a biodegradable wiring harness was pushed on auto makers. Yes your harness can be bad. Take a look at the inector wires if the insulation is crumbling have the harness replaced.

How do I fix the wiring harness? on a 94 mercedes c280

what is wrong with it? you can start reviewing segment by segment and replace the sections that are bad, i did that once when some cables got burned. but if several things are bad, then you may one buy a new harness and replace it totally. that would be a lot of job.

1994 c 280 won't start, sudden onset from long running great, seems no spark, jost happened Mercedez Benz

Replace coils, look at engine wiring harness, in the 90s MB was forced to use biodegradable insulation on the cars that degrade from engine heat.

Its a 2.6 and has good spark. The plugs gas foul

i am going to start out by saying that I want to be optimistic, and hope that this is not the problem with your car, Only because it is a little expensive to fix.
but could cause the injectors to stay on and flood your engine, causeing a no start.
Is the wire harness for the engine original, or has it already been replace
if its original, this may sound crazy unless you already know that MB has a big problem with the wires under the hood.
They start to crumble leaving the wires bare in places to short together and cause all kinds of crazy things.
Your car is at the perfct age to start experiancing this problem.
Unfortunetly the best way to cure this is to replace the harness.
A harness costs about $900 new, plus labor.
To inspect the harness I unwrap the wires in places on top of the engine by the injectors, and for the ignition coils and a few other places, I then bend the wires around a little, and look for cracking or crumbling.
To replace the harness is acually easier than it looks. it takes one to two hours, even less if you done one before.
I am not MB, only mechanic, and I have seen several with the harness problem.

Good luck I hope this info helps

Lack of power seems to be a problem with the exhaust, shaky idle

When was the last time plugs, plug wires cap/s rotor/s and coilc were replaced? I would try that first. Also you have the starting year when mercedes was told by the US to use biodegradable insulation that was "cooked" by engine compartment heat. Try for engine wiring harness and lower engine wiring harness to replace them.

I have a 1994 V-6 engine with all the wiring intact, has 2 wiring harnesses going through firewall, I want to splice that 1994 wiring into the existing 1989 interior wiring for the ignition and basics,...

That's gonna take a good test light and some serious patience. First thing you gotta do is FORGET trying to match the colors, ain't gonna happen. Find out which wire is hooked to what and splice it to the stock wire that does the same job. I'd use **** connectors, just don't cut the wire off of the '94 harness at the plug. Give yourself a few inches in case you ever want to do another engine swap. It's a lot easier to sell an engine if you can re-attach the stock harness for the new owner. Capiche? Good luck, let me know how it comes out at Bart
