Go to the chevy dealer and get new plastic fastners, they can break over time and the bumper will come loose.

Wiper's won't go off

the wiper motor has a relay circuit board in it. when it goes bad, the wipers will stay on or stop randomly in the middle of the windshield. You can replace this yourself if you have some tools and patience.

How do you clear codes for 2004 saturn ion

Clear the codes AFTER a repair was made & the light
stayed on ?

I would purchase an inexpensive $60.00 code reader &
use that.

If you start disconnecting batteries on every vehicle you
do or will own, then bad things happen.

The radio won't work,the car won't start,etc

If you have service manuals to learn your vehicles systems,
then you can eventually know what the results will be

Again,if you fixed nothing, then the light is going to stay on
or come back

Hood latch won't stay in locked position. Hood is 1 quarter inch high.

There should be rubber bumpers on the bottom of the hood where the latch is. They are located on either side (and ends). Screw them inward for lower closure.
