SOURCE: 2004 dodge stratus leaking coolant

there is a temporary fix for this until you can get it replaced, you will need 4 washers wide enough to fit around the lip of the upper half. Remove the 4 bolts holding the outlet and place the washers on the bolts and tighten down lightly enough to prevent leakage, this will fix it on a temp bases only until it can properly be repaired.

SOURCE: Coolant leak That can't be found

The leak can be from a number of places. The radiator may be leaking, a freeze out plug on the block, a crack in the block, the head gasket, etc. The only way to figure it out is to carefully check under and above the engine. You can purchase a small mirror with an extending handle to view the difficult tight areas (available at most auto parts stores). The reservoir can even have a split in it where it's difficult to see, like in the bottom, or up against the fender. Check the hose from the bottle also. So pick up a mirror, and start your detective work. Since it leaks so quickly, it should be pretty easy to track down. When you go under the car, make sure wheels are blocked, and car is on safety stands. Good luck, let me know what you find.

SOURCE: How do I check the transmission fluid on a 2009

below is info from the owners manual. I do not have a repair manual, but you may be able to buy one that would say how to check the transmission fluid on the 3.5L. It sounds like they don't expect you will need to check it.

Fluid Level Check - Vehicles with 3.5L Engine

The automatic transaxle has no dipstick and is dealer

serviced only.

Fluid Level Check - Vehicles with 2.4L and 2.7L

Use the following procedure to check the automatic

transaxle fluid level properly:

1. Park the vehicle on level ground.

2. Run the engine at curb idle speed for a minimum of 60

3. Apply the parking brake fully.

4. Place the shift lever momentarily in each gear position

ending with the lever in PARK.

5. Wipe the area around the dipstick clean to eliminate
the possibility of dirt entering the transaxle.

6. Remove the dipstick and determine if the fluid is hot

or cold. Hot fluid is approximately 180°F (82°C), which is

the normal operating temperature after the vehicle is

driven at least 15 mi (24 km). Hot fluid cannot be held

comfortably between the fingertips. Cold fluid is at a

temperature below 80°F (27°C).

7. Wipe the dipstick clean and reinsert until seated. Then,

remove dipstick and note the reading.

a. If the fluid is hot, the reading should be in the

crosshatched area marked "HOT" (between the upper

two holes in the dipstick).

b. If the fluid is cold, the fluid level should be between

the lower two holes in the area marked "COLD."

If the fluid level is low, add sufficient fluid through the

filler (dipstick) tube to bring it to the proper level. Do not

SOURCE: 2009 dodge journey...rear brake

If the e-brake cable is attached to caliper the piston is threaded. I use a very inexpensive tool i bought at the parts store . you will need to turn and press the piston at the same time. be aware that the two different sides are threaded oposite of each other. If the e-brake cable is not attached to caliperr the a c clamp should do the job.

If they're not leaking you don't. If they leak at the plastic tee's, just cut the tee out. Go to the hardware store and buy a barbed tee, 5/8 or 3/4. and three hose clamps to fit. Why spend $50 for the hose, when can repair them for $10.

2009 dodge grand caravan heater hose assembly replace

get a genuine hose first as it is made to fit in the right places. get a cork and plug up one end of the new hose . have a fiend fold the old hose over so that the coolant will not run out when you pull it off. put on the new hose and then remove the old hose from the other end and quickly place the new hose in place after removing the cork.. This results in minimum loss of coolant and minimum mess. Do the job when the engine is cold.. Make sure the hose clips are tight.

Coolant leaking under vehicle

The heater hose that run behind and below the engine has a plastic Y split where the hoses run to the thermostat and in to the firewall to the heater core. The plastic piece can crack and cause leaks as well as overheating. Easiest way to see it is standing on the driver side of the car and looking down behind the engine with a flashlight while it is running.
