Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

My CD player in my truck stopped working. It just pops the cd right out. It used to work just fine, even with cd's that were scratched and skipped a song. Now it won't even start the first song.

You will need to remove the **** from the vehicle and have it repaired by a factory approved repair center. They do not sell parts or repair books to the public.

SOURCE: error message on cd player

mhorton147: Good news if your car is no more than 3 years old or has 36,000 miles on it! KIA has been repairing and/or replacing CD players under warranty for problems where it won't play all the time, cd's get stuck, they eject and so on. the

Reference to the service bulletin is # KT2006032401
The bulletin was sent to the dealers: May 29th 2006
Even if your car has a little over the mileage, it's almost a sure bet they will buy the repair. If the service dept says no, go to the regional office an rattle their cage a little.
Good luck....Give the folks at Fixya some feedback if I'm doing anyone any good, I need some "ATTABOY's to build up the rep you know! All kidding aside, if you feel I've helped, the folks at Fixya would like to know.
Good luck!

SOURCE: 2005 chevy trailblazer cd player won't eject cd

I have a 06 Z71 and it did the same thing so more than likely your just going to have to buy a new cd player. I would recommend going with an aftermarket cd player because you probably going to spend just as much on another stock unit.

Cd player in 2013 kia optima stopped working

This happened to me with my 2013 Kia Optima SX Turbo with the Microsoft UVO audio system. The CD continued to skip due to several scratches and the system finally gave up and would no longer read any CDs. So I selected System Factory Default from the setup menu screen and that rebooted the UVO computer and realigned the CD laser lens. Keep in mind by rebooting the UVO computer you will lose any previously stored information, but your CD player should be functional again.

Cd player flashes ''error'' when you put a cd in. It waa playing fine. Just stopped playing ejected cd.

try another cd wont play if too scratched or dirty. handle disc by edge, dont touch the surface of disc no matter how lightly you hold it, you will leave contaminants that cloud the surface. if none ever work try them in a house cd player still no joy, then discs aare no good, if they work in home player then car cd died, time for new one. heck who uses cd any more? its a hassle to change them (only 16 songs!), hassle to replace lost daamaged or stolen(borrowed by friends), skip or scratches, get a radio with usb reader/player or SD card reader, can be had for under $60 , an 8gb SD card for $25 (4,000 songs<do you even KNOW the names of that many songs?) PLus, without a cd slot the thieves should leave your radio alone, thinking its just a normal am/fm radio. goto www.dealextreme.com for great deals and FREE SHIPPING.

CD Player does not work. Error 03 message is

Hi,
Dirty CDs can skip or just stop playing For best results, use a CD cleaning fluid and anti-static cloths made for cleaning CDs. If these tips don't help you might have to buy another copy of your CD, but first try it in another player because some CD players are more sensitive than others to scratches. The last option is to replace the CD Head by taking to a nearest service provider.

CD player does not work

If you are using home-made, or "Burnt" CDs, this is the root of the problem. Toyota Cd players are sometimes not compatible with the abovementioned CD's. Also, if the CD is scratched badly on the bottom side closest to the "hole", the info that the CD reads to "know" that the CD is physically IN the drive may be compromised.
