Bright lights turn on when making right turns

The solution is to replace (or possibly repair) the turn signal/dimmer switch.
The switch has three contacts and a slide which control the bright lights and is filled with dielectric grease. When the temperature goes down the grease gets a little thicker and the slide won't work very well.
The switch has two screws and one plug and can be accessed after removing the top steering column cover.

1999 Dodge Grand Caravan Center brake light comes on when brake pedal is pushed. Side brake lights do not come on when the brake pedal is pushed. Tail lights and brake lights do come on when head lights...

Your Problem is most likely your multifunction switch. This switch is on your steering column and operates the bright and dim headlights, turn signals, hazards and wipers and wash. You will have to remove the cover around the steering column to get to it and replace it. Feel free to contact me for more info if you need help doing this. I will do my best to respond right away.

My headlights on my 94 dakota work fine for a while on brights, but then just the headlights start flashing/flickering. Parking lights and brake lights are fine. It will also flash/flicker in dim lights...

I just had this problem. There was a screw loose on the hi-beam switch. You have to take off the plastic cover on the steering column to get to it. Really simple to fix yourself (5 minutes tops). 4 screws and the turn of a small wrench. Free if you do it yourself, $600 if you take it to the dealer.

My driver side light are dim wile my pass light is fine

Hi I have had all kinds of problems w/ cav and sunfire front head lamps (dim/bright etc) The forward lamp harness (wich is the harness that controls the headlamps, markers, and fogs if avail, has many factory splices that usuall contain moisture and or corrode.so,if all these splices are ok your corrosion poroblem is in the same harness where it goes under the battery tray.My best sugestion is to go to chevy and get the forwaed lamp harness assy. it will save you many hours of hair pulling.if this is not an option,go under the car and find the (large) harness going up the drivers side by the battery and remove the black plastic.look for wet condition and or green corrosion on the purple or green wire// repair as ness. Gooid luck thyanks RAY.

No head lights! HELP PLEASE!!

Probably the combination switch, located in steering column, controls all lights. On ours, we lost all lights EXCEPT headlights, fuses and bulbs were all good. Replaced the switch yesterday (well, our Sidekick had two switches) and now all lights work fine. You need to pull the steering wheel to get at the switches. We got parts at a junkyard, but AutoZone also sold them at less than dealer prices.

Main headlights not working

Sounds like the head light relay is bad . Have you ever checked the headlight bulbs?
