yes, someone jumped the car for me and then the car started but everything else doesnt work we replaced the battery but the windows, radio, sunroof doesnt work.

I think the cables were on wrong at first and then corrected because when I first started it while jumping he switched the cable.

I hope I am making sense here

Although simple, is it possible the negative and positive leads to the battery were installed incorrectly and then corrected?

Does the vehicle start up and idle? Give more detail on electronic parts and what they are!!

This sounds silly but you may be able to reset by removing the dome lite fuse and reinstalling, Lexus seems to use that circuit on some early models

Battery went dead for my 2005 range rover but i recharged it right away. now my fuel and rpm gauge stay zero.speed and temperature gauge is ok.

Disconnect the battery both leads and join them together for half hour then see what happens if they still dont work then iam afraid you have had brown out in the system and this will have damaged the speedo unit electronics which are on the back of the speedo ,it has a mini computer on the back in fact and its expensive

Replaced battery. still would not start. Cleaned treminal of all corrision. cranked fine. however 1 day later would not start. jump started . drove a couple of miles but when I turned on lights, engine...

Sounds like a bad alternator. Drained your battery and when you turned on the lights it took all the power left in your battery. When you drain a battery down that far, they are real hard to jump, and coupled with the alternator, the car is not producing enough current to start and stay running.

I would take the alternator off and take it to oyur local auto parts store to be tested. If bad, replace it and charge the battery fully before starting. Then check voltage at battery with motor running. Should be 13.2 -14 Volts DC. If not, you may have a bad battery cable or blown fusible link. (especially that if the alternator tests good).....Mike

2005 GMC Envoy key is stuck in accessory position in the ignition with dead battery and transmission stuck in park. Will replacing battery help or is it security system lock down? If it is the security...

Jump starting the battery may be all you need. If this vehicle was not in park when the battery went dead and when you got in to start it it was dead. You then probably put it into park trying to start it.
But the issue at this time is if it was in neutral when the battery went dead the you changing the selector to park may not actually have placed the transmission in park. With electronic gear selection it actually need power to the system to place the transmission in park.
Without it really being in park the key may move to the lock position.
A bit of quess work here but I hope for you I hit the mark.

Electronic key won't work after dead battery??? battery went dead and when recharged the electronic keys won't open the doors anymore?

If you have the Vehicle Owners Manual it will instruct you how to reset the Electronic Remote(s) as disconnecting the Battery or a totally discharged battery removes all power from the On Board Chassis Computers memory. Therefore you must reset the Remote(s) so that the On Board Chassis Computer can recognize them. If in Doubt, please consult your Chevrolet Dealer to rectify the problem.

I dont think my battery is dead, could be low. but i tried to start it earlier today and clicked once, and everything went dead.. no power no nothing.

Check your connections to make sure they are absolutely clean and making good contact. If so, take the battery to the auto parts store and have them run a load test. You may be surprised to find your battery has a bad cell.

1000 volt jump start placed incorrectly

Your system probably has a lot of relays and other electronics that are bad now. Your Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may be cooked as well. You may also have a fusable link that has been blown as well. The fusable link is basicly an in-line fuse that you have to replace the wire to replace the fuse. Get a wiring schematic and look to see if theres a fuse or similar that you misssed. You may find that you dont have power going to all or part of one of your fuse panels.

Hope this helps...
