Question about 2001 Pontiac Firebird
I change the fuses on it,it works for awhile, but I still have this problem, what could it be.
With mine it was the body control modular located under the passanger side dash. You can replace it or resolder the bad conection on the circuit bord

it seems that you are having connecting issues. under the dash are lots of connectors and through vibration the often times wiggle loose. also they get a fair amount of heat exposure from the climate control. this makes them brittle and they tend to short out. looking under the dash and checking fuses and relays would be the first step in isolating the problem. please rate this solution thanks and good luck.

SOURCE: My car heater works fine
this problem is most commonly caused by either a sticky air temp control blend door or a defective blend door electric actuator, this door controls the air temp at the heater/AC oulets.

SOURCE: 99 Alero TRACK OFF light
I had a GrandAm that used to do the exact same thing. I checked the ABS sensors and the wires from them and I had a couple with bad sensors and one with corroded wires and connector plug. That is the most likely cause of your "track off" light problems.
